Love is not real, I tell myself that everyday. Walking to my last period class, a sigh of relief comes from my mouth. Tomorrow is the first day of summer and I'm going into high school far away from these people.
Mrs. Lana gave out her exam, "thank god" I mumble to myself. I take the exam, I am the first one done so I get it graded. Mrs. Lana say "good job Kay you got a 100" I nod slightly knowing that I did. "Nerd" I heard Katie say as I sat down next to her. I laugh as I say " you love this nerd" a smirk came over her face " oh shush."
The final bell rang. I hugged all my friends as I set off to a different school then they did.
Katie and I just walked home knowing how upset we'd be. We were half way to get to her house when she finally said something. "Kay?" I looked up to see her crying "what's wrong?" I say. As she chocks back her tears she says "you won't forget me right?" I sighed and said "never Katie, you're my best friend and no matter what happens that will always be true," I hugged her.
As we got to her house I hugged her and we said our goodbyes. Walking home I knew things would be different that summer I just didn't want to believe it. I got to my house and jumped in my pool. I was in there until a guy parked himself at the edge. "Holy crap" I yelled his eyes went to shock and said said with a sexy grin "what ?" I got out wrapping a towel around me "you scared me" I said, that was partly true but also he was really hot. " Sorry I didn't mean to" he looked at the house next to mine, " I just moved in with my parents and wanted to say hi, so hi I'm Ryan Hunter" I couldn't help but smile and say " oh hey I'm Kay Miller." We talked until it was late and I had to go in. As I got to my door he said "hey Kay, we should hang out this summer" I blushed, oh god I hate when I blush "yeah that would be great" I said opening my door. "Have a good night" was the last words I heard. I shut the door. Man he was perfect.
