Well , she had told them and the response was... Brianna '' No way!'' Mom ''Probably I should take away those fantasy books their filling your head with nonsense''. Dad ''Let's go see this mirror''. Brianna exclaimed '' You don't mean to say you actually believe her?!'' ''I'm not saying anything... yet ''. he replied calmly . The family went upstairs to the attic. Brianna went in spite of her protests. They all saw the mirror glowing ,but to Christina's surprise half the mirror was gold the other half black.'' That's unusual '' Christina said raising her eyebrows . '' Whats unusual ?'' asked her dad staring his reflection in the mirror . ''Before I put the key in ,you should only see colors and a scene like i told you about , instead .... she stopped for when she put the key in, the mirror glowed so bright that they all backed away and almost fell over .Then she saw Charles image in the mirror . He was fighting two armed men with two swords , and he looked like he was about to fall over. Charles took a hit on his arm and dropped one of the swords. ''No!'' screamed Christina as she shoved the door open. Her mom grabbed her when she started to run towards him. Instead her father asked quickly who he was got the answer of of Charles and ran silently to help him. The armed men hadn't heard Christina scream because she had been on the other side of the mirror. Her dad crept up behind them and picked up the dropped sword.He saw Charles's other sword and picked that one up . '' Untie him this instant!'' he said menacingly . They turned around surprised and looked around for their swords , but they saw that while this brave man was talking he had moved their swords that they had carelessly thrown on the ground thinking they were victorious. One of the men walked forward . '' We do not have a quarrel with thee. we only want him'' he said motioning towards Charles . '' ''I'm sorry, but you can't have him'' said Christina's father bravely . Meanwhile the girls and their mother had picked up fallen hoes and shovels and walked towards their father. They were just in time for two men had entered the garden to help their companions. Now it was four to four , but only two men had swords. They also saw the girls with hoes and shovels . ''Christina go untie him, I don't trust these men to not harm him'' said her father . ''Back away from him... now!'' he said sternly when they didn't back away . He brought the swords and his body to fighters stance, and they decided to do as he said. The other men stood aloof, hesitant to advance. '' You there .. yes you! Put your dagger there on the ground and back away . Brianna go with her.'' her father commanded . Both of them walked forward . Christina picked up the dagger and started to cut Charles bounds . '' Christina , I knew we would meet again. Just not this way. I thank thee '' he said rubbing his wrists and stretching . He had only been tied up for 20 minutes, but that was enough because he had been fighting so hard . '' Well that can't be helped ''she said ''Where are your father and mother?'' she asked. '' They were carried off''. he said his face full of worry . '' Now all of you go back where you came from , and don't come back . If you do I will not show mercy, and there will be greater numbers with me.'' Jim shouted in the background to the mysterious attackers. ( Christina's and Brianna's father). All the men walked off the property slowly ,muttering and their heads down .'' Let's go check the house for more of them'' said Charles after they were all gone and out of sight . They all ran towards the house . Charles went first. They all went through the house , but they found no one except the cowering servants . Gothbart pick some servants to watch the mansion. ''Yes my master'' Gothbart answered '' Let us go into my father's study ''Charles suggested having searched the house . As they passed the picture of the King and his son Charles stopped and scowled . The picture was gashed and there was red writing that said ''Lucifer is Lord and King!'' '' Never! '' shouted Charles shaking his first.
