Chapter 6

Reborn clicked his tongue in annoyance as he tried to contact the Vongola headquarters... but unfortunately, his call wasn't being picked up by any of the idiotic workers.

After calling for the nth time, the infant though hesitating, stop with his attempts to contact the Vongola HQ.

He sighed and went to hide his emergency phone in his suit and then proceeded to hop off of the window where he currently is.

The arcobaleno then made his way towards his student's room to check up on the brunette.

After calming the brunette, he still remembered how the boy reacted when his guardians went to go and check up on him.

'This is a bad thing... whatever is bothering him definitely has to do with that night after we returned from the future...'

"...Ne, Reborn...?"

The said infant stopped polishing his gun for a moment before continuing his task; not even bothering to look back at his student.

"What is it dame-Tsuna."

There was a long pause for a moment before the brunette decided to speak however his voice was clipped, quiet even, and it was very unnatural.

"Do... before you... were turned into a baby..." this caught the infant off guard and he can sense some hesitation in his voice along with something he can't place.

"...Did you do something... you regret?"

Finding the situation odd and unnatural; Reborn placed his gun on the floor and finally turned to look at his dame student, who was weirdly staring at the window blankly.

"...What."

The brunette ignored the other's statement and instead continued. "If there is any... did you... w-what did you do?"

Reborn can't help but frown slightly at the question. The brunette by all means was acting strange and the infant knows this because if anything... Tsuna's not bold enough to ignore even a single question or statement from him.

"...Ne... I-I really am useless..."

Well... not totally but the infant didn't respond to that semi-true statement as he observed the boy intently.

The eyes... the boy's brown eyes seem to be distant and the light in them are... gone. And the different face the other have is... quite unnerving to say at least.

"...W-Why...?"

Reborn still remained silent and he stared at Tsuna as the latter continued to mumble things that even the greatest hitman can't decipher.

Finally, after a few minutes, the infant reacted; having enough of the boy's senseless mumblings and kicked the unsuspecting and inattentive teen in the head.

*THUD*

"Itt...I-ITTE!!!"

Tsuna clutched his throbbing head in agony as he glared at his home tutor, who for a moment looked relieved about something the teen don't know.

"R-Reborn! Why did you do that!?!"

Reborn didn't spoke. He continued to do that and it made the brunette irritated and scared at the same.

"...R-R-Reborn...?" he called out worriedly and hesitantly.

The infant suddenly smirked and before the teen could know what happened, he was once again kicked by the Spartan baby.

"R-REBORN!"

Ever since that night, Reborn knew that something was wrong with his student. The only thing that really bothers him is the thing that caused the brunette to act like that.

'During this kind of situation, usually the person having a fragile mentality is affected depending on the things that happens or the things that happened to him/her or to his/her surroundings.'

The infant already knew that Tsuna albeit uncomfortable is use to all the things that he and his friends/guardians encounters so there's no need for it to be a factor.

...Then perhaps it happened before?

What ever the reason why his student's mentality is being affected may have a connection to happened to Tsuna in the past.

But there's no information about as bad as something that is affecting him this badly that is recorded.

...Unless maybe the brunette did not tell anyone of it. But... what exactly is it?

Reborn couldn't help but frown slightly as his confusion grows. If the brunette's friends and even his own mother does not anything about what is happening to him then... it may be terrible that Tsuna never spoke of it to anyone but himself.

He is going to figure this out soon. But for the time being, this situation the Vongola Tenth currently is cannot be known by the people in the underworld and since the Vongola HQ cannot be reached, he has to think of something fast.

Or things will start to fall apart.

I don't have a good explanation as to why I did not update sooner... I hope you enjoyed the short chapter though...
