(Y/N)'s POV
I woke up in a bed of golden flowers, wondering where I was and how I got here. I was Underground. It was said that there were monsters living down here. I looked around me then looked up and suddenly remembered how I got here. I had fallen. I was climbing up the mountain when I tripped on something and fell down here.

Soon, I went through an exit and saw a flower. It stood out from the rest, as it was bigger, and I walked towards it, reaching out to touch it's petals. It was facing downwards and I was afraid it was dying.

"Howdy!" If suddenly perked up with a smile on its face. I yelled and jumped back reflexively.

"Sorry. Didn't mean to scare ya. I'm Flowey! Flowey the flower." It told me in an overly happy voice. I narrowed my eyes and cautiously came towards it.

"I'm (Y/N)." I told Flowey. It grinned in a terrifying manner for a moment before going back to its usual smile. I backed away slightly again.

"You always were cautious." The flower muttered quietly before continuing on in a friendlier and louder voice.

"You must be new here! Golly, you must be confused. Let me show you the basics." Flowey said. I simply sighed and continued listening.

What's the point? I'm probably going to die soon anyway. I thought to myself glumly. I guess I was pretty dark for a nearly nine year old.

"...See that heart? That's your soul. The very culmination of your being. Your soul starts off weak, but can grow strong if you gain a lot of LV." Flowey explained as he seemed to pull a (F/C) heart out of me. I gasped in shock.

"Uh... What does LV mean?" I asked.

"What's LV stand for? Why, LoVE of course. You want some LOVE don't you? Don't worry, I'll share some with you."

"N-no thank you. I'm fine, really." I told Flowey. I was honestly suspicious of him. His sickening smile, his... Innocence. I felt like I had seen that face but shrugged it off.

"Of course I'll share! Down here LOVE is shared through little white friendliness pellets. Ready? Get as many as you can! Go ahead and move your Soul around with your hands." The golden flower encouraged me, however the tone of voice seemed a little too sweet. I moved my hand back and forth and saw the heart follow after. However,    I didn't collect the "friendliness pellets". Instead I dodged them all.

"Hey buddy. You missed them. Let's try again okay?" Flowey had an annoyed look on his face. Like he was trying not to snap. I gulped and shook my head.

"No. I don't want your pellets. It's okay. You can keep them." I told him while dodging the next round.

"Is this a joke? Are you brain dead? RUN. INTO. THE. BULLETS. -Erm... Friendliness pellets." Flowey looked mad now. I shook my head and dodged them again. Flowey's face transformed into a look of insanity.

"You remember, don't you? You know what's going on." He said darkly. I looked at him confused.

"Remember?" I asked.

"In this world. It's kill. Or be killed." Flowey stated.

"DIE!" He screeched darkly before making a circle of pellets surround my heart. I moved it to the center but the circle kept closing in. As the white pellets started to touch my soul I felt a slight burning pain. Then it vanished and I felt my soul come back to me. A fireball hit the evil flower and a goat lady stepped up.

"What a terrible creature. Torturing a poor, innocent youth like that." She said softly, in a motherly tone. I backed away a little in fear.

"You have nothing to fear, small one. I am Toriel. Keeper of the Ruins." Toriel said softly and extended her hand to me. I smiled a little to her. She showed me through the ruins and when she left to do something I made friends with a Froggit and some other monsters. Although the Vegetoid's I met were really getting on my nerves.

After solving the Ruins puzzles I made it to Toriels house and found her on her way to get me. I grinned.

"Are you hurt?" She asked me worriedly. I shook my head as I had dodged all of the monsters attacks. I hadn't fought anyone. I didn't see the need. Toriel checked me anyway and gasped in shock.

"What?" I asked worriedly.

"Y-you only have 10 Max HP." She whispered. I looked at her confused.

"What's HP?" I asked Toriel.

"Hope." She told me sadly.

"Is 10 a lot?" I asked another question. Toriel patted my head.

"Do not worry about it. Come inside I made you some pie. I do hope you like it." She said while leading me inside.

"Uh... I have a question." I asked her. She froze.

"What is it?"

"Do I get to live here?" I asked hopefully. I never wanted to return to the surface.

"Of course." Toriel told me, smiling in relief. I wondered what she was so happy about but shrugged it off.

"So I guess you're my new mom now." I told Toriel, while grinning. She smiled down at me.

"Yes... I guess I am."
