RRRRRRINNNNNGGGGGG

The alarm on my phone went off at exactly 6:30 that morning, I remember it like it was yesterday, oh yeah 'cause was yesterday. Anyways, I headed out the door to my job. I work at a photography company called Simply Photos. I've been working there for two months and it's not my favorite set up. My boss's name is Jillian and she has no faith in me and my work. There for I don't get paid well.

I got up from the moldy sheets that are hand-me-downs from my stinky roommate named Sammie. I walked into the grimy white walls of the bathroom, and looked into the dirty mirror that was cracked and I got ready for my job at Simply Photos. I put my light colored blue hair into a bun and did my make up like normal. I through on a red colored flannel over my white tank top and torn up denim jeans. I headed out the door and down the stairs of the rickety apartment building and headed to my vintage light blue car. I don't live in the good part of Cleveland. My parents worry a lot about me. Especially since they don't trust Sammie. She sleeps until noon and works for home as a costumer service person who answers the phones. So clearly she stay in her pajamas all day.

Finally, I arrived my job...it was a cute brick building downtown Cleveland it was right next door to an antique store and an art store. I entered the building with my own camera in hand it was a Nikon I received as graduation from my brother.

"So nice of you to show up, Lyndsey," said my boss Jillian.

"Sorry I'm late Jill, I over slept." I said. My name is Lyndsey Dun, but please I'd prefer to be called Lynn or something and I'm your basic twenty-two year old starving artist. My co-worker named, Aaron, approached me as I entered setting down my faux leather purse on the comfy brown chair.

"Hi, Lynn!" He said to me, Aaron's had a crush on me ever since I have been working at Simply Photos and he's a nice guy and all but I'm not sure how I feel about him. The inside of Simply Photos is painted a nice soft pink color and the floor is hard wood. Plain white canvases cover the other side of the wall and there are light boxes sitting front of them for photo shoots we do occasionally.

"Hi Aaron!" I smiled, going to check the appointments for today. "How are you?"

"I'm good Lynn!" Aaron said. "Is your brother coming home from tour soon?" Okay. Maybe I should explain I'm pretty much normal...but then there's my brother. We get along...for the most part. His name is Josh Dun, you're probably thinking; oh my god that's the drummer from twenty one pilots. Well, I get that a lot and Aaron's one of the few people who hasn't used me to meet the band, get free merchandise and tickets. In fact, Aaron hasn't met my brother, yet.

"He come's home this weekend!" I said, "I actually miss him a lot. Is that weird?" I set up my camera on it's tripod.

Aaron laughed, "No Lynn it's not. If my sister was on tour most of the time I missed her too." I went up to the schedule, it read; Senior Photos Brooklyn Ashbury. Until that girl, Brooklyn Ashbury, arrived I just talked to Aaron he's my best friend. My mom often texts me wondering when I am ever going to date him.

Jillian walked over to Aaron and me, "Aaron you're 10:30 appointments here." Aaron left me so I decided to simply check my phone to see if I had any texts. Just one from my high school best friend Susie, another one of the few who didn't use me for my brother.

SUSIE: Hey, Lynn, my younger sisters coming to do her senior photos with fair warning she's a twenty one pilots fan so don't bring it up. I don't want her to be like the rest of them.
LYNN: Thanks for the warning Susie, really appreciate it!

Finally Susie's young sister Brooklyn showed up. How Susie and I became friends is quite awkward. I was about eleven years old and I was playing in the front yard with Josh, and a young girl who was around my age at the time came over to us and introduced as Susan Ashbury but but she preferred to be called Susie and not Susan. Josh said his name, and I told her my name was Lyndsey but I like to be called Lynn.

I was looking through the photos on my camera when Aaron approached me, "You're really good I don't know why Jill tells you that they're terrible all the time."

"Have you ever seen Jill take a picture?" I asked.

"No." Aaron said cleaning his camera lens with a white soft rag designed for cleaning them.

"Exactly," I said. "I should over to the park where Mrs. Ashbury wants me to take Brooklyn's pictures."

"Isn't that Susie Ashbury's younger sister?" Aaron said. Aaron's two years older than me and we didn't go together he just pays attention to when I talk. Which really nice. I don't know if I would ever date him. I jumped into my car, and I turned on the radio, surely enough it was my brother's song "Stressed Out". I sighed turning the radio station to the hard rock and metal channel. I have nothing against my brother's music it's good but since...it's my brother I don't listen to that often and I listen to a lot more metal, usually. I'm not the average girl. My hairs blue, I have five tattoos, and I have my septum, and nostril pierced. I drove down to the other side of town to the park.

It was a beautiful park lots of trees, birds, it had a nice jogging path and it was very nature-y, and you could overlook one of the great lakes from this park.

I waited for about fifteen minutes and finally Mrs. Ashbury and her daughter Brooklyn arrived. "Hello, Lyndsey." Mrs. Ashbury.

"Hi Mrs. Ashbury," I greeted shaking her hand.

"Lyndsey, you're an adult now please call me Joyce," she said. "Brooklyn do you remember Susan's friend Lyndsey." Brooklyn shrugged.

"Nice to meet you Brooklyn," I said smiled.

"I go by Brook." She stared at me, blue eyed, platinum blonde haired. We took the senior pictures and they turned out great.

"Lyndsey, these are some of the best photos I've ever seen." Mrs. Ashbury said. "You've got talent that pays well I assume."

No. I thought, but I said, "I guess you could say that." After my job was over I headed back to that terrible apartment I live in with the girl Sammie.

I climbed up the wooden rickety steps, I also have skeptical neighbors, I passed one of them on the way she's simply known as the Crazy Cat Lady of Cheshire Flats. Cheshire Flats is the name of our apartment complex. I went to my white door that was stained with brown patches and it was cracked in some places and the paint was chipping. I entered to see Sammie sitting on the plaid couch with tears in it, she wore flannel pajama bottoms, a white t-shirt, hair messy, but she wore makeup. She was on her laptop.

"Sammie, did you do the dishes like I asked you?" Sammie had the potential to be pretty she had long chestnut hair, big brown eyes and a nice figure. She's a slob. How'd I meet Sammie? Tumblr. I made a blog post seeing if anyone in the Cleveland area needed a roommate. I heard back from a user called videogames-and-makeup.tumblr.com (A/N: Sorry if I accidentally used your url for Tumblr.) her name on her blog was Sammie. When I met her she introduced herself as Sammantha Hartly she knows how to clean up nicely.

"No, Lynn, I thought you we're going to them." Sammie said. What? I left her a note.

"Sammie," I said. "I left you a note." I handed her the piece of paper.

She read it aloud; "Hey Sammie! I won't be getting home from work until later, if you could do the dishes that'd be great, Lynn." I was tapping me foot on the ground as she read it.

"I'll do them this one time," I said. "But my brother's coming into town soon so I'm going to end up spending time with him."

"Ugh, Lyndsey! I get you don't need to guilt trip me." Sammie said, slamming the lid of her laptop down. I went to my room and went edit the photos from earlier that day.
