"Gabriella please" said Jake with tears in his eyes.
"No Jake." Gabby said sternly.
"One kiss please, I promise just one. I'll stop bothering you about it after this" Jake said with tears in his eyes.
Gabby was scared.
Boys are disgusting she thought.
She would never ever touch one!
But there's was something different about Jake.
He sent a spark through her.
He changed her.
When she was down he always made her happy.
"Fine." Gabby said.
"But once."
"Just once." Jake frowned but was happy.
She got on his bed and stopped for a second.
Looked at him.
And they kissed.
Jake was so happy.
His eyes lit up.
He smiled so big .
Her eyes were big and bold.
He was unbelievably happy.
But gabby though she was gonna puke.
Gabby never understood what Jake thought of her.
The time he spent begging her for a peck on the
lips.
The time he wondered what she was doing.
Or how when they would carpool to elementary school, he would always say every single day how pretty gabby looked.
Gabby didn't know Jake loved her.
They were in 4th and 5th grade but Jake didn't care.
Gabby always thought of him as a friend
She thought he was so dorky.
But it was okay because they had each other.
Although gabby didn't like Jake, that didn't stop her from many things they did.
Jake and gabby always spent the night together.
Same bed.
Same pillows.
Same sheets.
Same blankets.
Jake would hold her.
At night.
When she was sleeping.
He would play with her brown messy curls.
And one night when gabby was half asleep, Jake simply kissed her cheek as he watched her doze off.
He didn't know what love was.
He didn't know what he felt.
But Jake knew what he felt.
Was so different.
