Chapter 1

Kiara's POV

Packing is extremely stressful. But it's worth it because I'm going to road trip all over the US! This honestly has been a huge dream of mine and doing it with my best friends, Alessia and Sierra, makes it a lot more special . Our goal is to go to at least 15 different states during the summer. We all have graduated high school and are taking a gap year. We think we can travel through all 50 states in a year. And you're probably wondering that we need an extremely large amount of money but my father is a successful company owner and he'll be paying for the hotels and gas only since we all have raised money for food and other stuff we would like to buy during the trip. And our parents gave us debit cards that they'd add money to during the trip incase of emergencies.

After about what felt like 50 years of packing, I finished and had my brother, Kyle, put my suitcase in my car.

Alessia, Sierra, and I came up with a plan to travel from New York, New York, which is where we live, to Los Angeles, California by the end of summer. We plan on staying in L.A. for a while and renting an apartment. We all turn 18 during the summer so we don't need any adult other than ourselves to be able to rent an apartment. (a/n idk i think thats how it works bc i know for a fact that youtubers have moved to L.A. And one of them acts as the legal guardian of the minor)

"Im gonna miss you sis," my little sister, Kris, sarcastically tells me. She's extremely happy to use my room as an art studio while I'm gone.

"I'm gonna miss you too, munchkin,"
I respond.

"I've already told you to stop calling me that!" she yells even though I'm literally next to her.

She tells me she hates me but I know she truly, deeply loves me because who can resist me? Im extremely like able. Sike, I hate almost everyone except my best friends and family. (a/n #relatable)

I text Alessia and Sierra asking if they have everything packed and they both respond with yes.

We aren't leaving until tomorrow because we want to rest a bit before we drive many long hours.
