So Close Yet So Far

Seeing Her

     It was a misty afternoon. Ava was walking down the street when something caught her eye. She looked up to see this girl with long blonde hair flowing in the wind. She was transfixed by her beauty and couldn't take her eyes away. She was beautiful beyond compare and couldn't help but stare. The girl looked up at Ava and smiled to her as she waved. Ava blushed and waved back. The girl soon began to cross the street and go towards Ava. "Hi, I'm Zoe," she said. Ava replied,"Hi I'm Ava." Zoe smiled at Ava as she noticed the scarlet color covering Ava's cheeks. It was so cute seeing her blush just at her saying hi. "So do you live around here?" Asked Zoe with great interest. "Yea, just down the block," Ava replied gesturing with her hand. "What's your number? If you don't mind me asking," Ava hesitantly asked. She was scared of coming on to strong. Zoe smiled, "Yea, it's 614-318-3108." Ava typed the number into her phone, "Thanks." Ava began to blush even more. "Well I've got to go, but text me sometime and we can hang out," Zoe said. Ava replied, "Yea that'll be great. See you around." Ava smiled and began to walk away, but she couldn't help but look back every few seconds just so she could see Zoe just a bit longer. Ava couldn't stop smiling, Zoe was so beautiful and kind. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't keep her off her mind.
