So Close Yet So Far

Thoughts Filled by Her

Ava's mind was a blur. She couldn't help but replay last nights events over and over again in her head. The way Zoe looked and felt. The way she tasted. She was zoned out ever since she said goodbye to Zoe that afternoon. Now, all she can do is think about her. "Ava! Hello?!" Ava jolted up and made eye contact with her mother. "What has been up with you?! I've been talking to you for the past 20 minutes and you haven't said a word or answered any of my questions!" "I'm sorry, I've just been distracted and my head hurts," Ava lied to not seem suspicious. "Well you need to pay attention more. It's very rude to not listen when someone is talking to you," her mother snapped. Ava nodded and apologized. After dinner, Ava laid in bed staring at the ceiling when her phone dinged. She rolled over in excitement hoping to see Zoe's name but was disappointed to read that it was just her father texting to say he was sorry for missing dinner again for the third time that week. Ava didn't care though. She was use to her father always being at work. All Ava could focus on was Zoe and everything that happened with her. Also, how badly she wanted to do it again but not be stopped or teased. She wanted to not have to keep her hands away from her or have to pull her lips away. She wanted to be in an everlasting kiss with Zoe for however long she wanted. She wanted to feel her warm breath on her neck the moment before her lips made contact with Ava's skin. She couldn't keep these thoughts away no matter how hard she tried and she couldn't stand it anymore. She had to call her. Ava quickly grabbed her phone and the moment she went to unlock it, the screen lit up and Zoe's name appeared. Ava quickly answered, "I was just about to call you!" "Oh my gosh! Really?! That's so cool. We must be connected or something. Anyways I've had the craziest day since you left my house..." Soon enough hours and hours passed by with non stop chatter between the two. With Zoe of course doing most of the talking, but Ava didn't care. She loved the sound of her voice and as it got later and later into the night the two eventually fell asleep still on the phone with one another. Never has Ava slept more soundly.

Aweeeee mah heart. Sometimes I make my own self giggle writing this stuff. Anyways hope you guys enjoyed and sorry for never updating I'll try to more often. Hope you guys are having amazing days and lives in general.
