Hannah was deep into a good book, Lord of the Rings to be specific. Her feet were on the librarian desk in front of her, blanket around her shoulders, and her fingers turning the pages of the book hungrily. Although she had read the series many times she still loved the adventure, fantasy, and good writing.

The door to the library opened letting in a cool breeze. Hannah kept her eyes on the book, "morning Steph." She smiled.

"Good morning!" The girl who was in her late teens said, "ooh I see you're in Middle Earth today." She grinned as she leaned over trying to see the cover.

"Yes," Hannah said setting down the book, "I love it so, but the only thing that is hard about it, is getting out."

Steph smiled. She had short chopped blonde hair slightly under the ear, her deep blue eyes were glittering with diamond like light, soft pink lips curved into a smile.

Hannah motioned over to the couch near the fireplace, "sit, its chilly outside."

Steph sat on the couch and pulled out her bag, "here." She said handing Hannah a book, "Pride and Prejudice." She had checked it out a few days before.

"Oh!" She took it, "how did you like it?"

"It was wonderful! Although I would have liked more action."

"I told you it wasn't an action book." Hannah laughed.

"Yes yes, but I still loved it dearly...any suggestions you have for me to read next?"

"Oh I think you have read every book I own!"

"I doubt that."

"Harry Potter?"

"Read it."

"Books of Bayern?"

"Yup."

"Hmm, Fablehaven?"

"Yes."

"Hunger Games?"

"Team Gale!"

"Me too! Lets see, Where the Red Fern Grows?"

"Lost every tear in my body that day."

"Doesn't everyone? Nancy Drew?"

"Mmhmm."

"All of them?"

"All of them."

"Wow."

"I know, I have no life."

Hannah laughed, "You've read Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit..."

"Like ten times!"

"I've read 'em 20 times."

"Yeah no one can beat that."

"Ha! Hmm, The Silmarillion?"

"We read that together."

"Oh yeah. Thats all on this shelf."

"Well lets try another one."

Hannah looked at the small clock on the wall, it read 6:54, "Oh is it that time already? My you should be on your way."

"Aw c'mon! Can't I stay later? I always have to leave right before seven."

"Yes you must, your parents will be worried."

"Okay, if you insist..."

"I do! Goodbye Steph! See you tomorrow!" Hannah pushed her gently out the door and locked it.

Steph watched Hannah put the blinds down rapidly and slowly walked away. Hannah grabbed her book off the table and rushed into her room off the side of the library, she closed the curtains of the window on her door that looked into the library, quickly locked her door and sat on a chair, took a deep breath and closed her eyes. The clock struck 7:00. She barely made it, at least she was safe for the night.
