The ride to Hogwarts was a tense one. Everybody on the train still had the havolk of the Quiddich World Cup on their mind. Harry remembered the fires, the masks and the floating skull in the sky. Voldemort was coming back again; that much he knew. The nightmares were steadily getting to the point where he found himself casting a silencing spell over his bed so Ron wouldn't worry about him.
He looked over at him and Hermione who were looking at him in concern and flashed them a smile.
When they arrived at Hogsmeade station, Harry paused, having noticed something still in the sea of movement. An oriental man with long black hair pulled into a high ponytail stood at the edge of the platform, seemingly watching everything. Harry was surprised at the feeling of safety he felt from this revelation. Suspicion or fear he could understand. It was obvious that the man was there for protection. He had a slight spring in his step as he walked towards the carriages. Ron and Hermione noticed this and shrugged. He was allowed to be spontaneously happy every now and again.
The Great Hall felt tense as students began to notice people stood near the teacher's table, dressed in unusual uniforms with serious expressions.
Dumbledore stood after the first year sorting and quickly explained the presence of the new residents.
"This year, Hogwarts has the great honour of hosting the famoous Triwizard Tournament. However, due to the security risks and the rise in terror crimes - as you will have seen or heard about at the Quiddich World Cup we have had to take precautions. Therefore, we have decided to call in help from our friends at the Oriental Academy for Magic and they have sent us the services of some of their best students to act as bodyguards for the school. They will be positioned in the common rooms, school boundaries and Hogsmeade. I beg of you not to get in their way and to allow them to work peacefully as they are there to ensure your safety. Thank you." as students began filing out of the hall, he called out
"Mr Potter, Mr Malfoy, if you could wait behind. It won't take a moment". Harry and Draco waved their seperate friends out of the hall, gave each other curt nods of aknowledgement and walked back towards the teacher table.
"You too Severus" Dumbledore added as Snape began to rise to leave. He glared at the Headmaster and curtly sat down again. Dumbledore motioned to a boy with strikingly red hair to start talking.
"We have reason to believe that all three of you are a target for what we now know to be choreographed plans of the Death Eaters, followers of a man they name 'The Dark Lord". Therefore we have placed bodyguards to protect you. Do not try to bug them into leaving you alone, don't try to 'ditch' them, they will find you. Be polite and let them do their job. Ignore them if you must but they will always be there."
A boy with a rather large nose and dorky grin approached Draco
"I'm Jaehwan but you can call me Ken <3" he chirrped, and Malfoy winced. This was going to be a task to put up with someone this happy all the time. Harry stifled a snigger as a boy with longer hair came over and practically whispered
"I'm Taekwoon but you call me Leo :/" and Harry smiled awkwardly at the boy who seemed to be dying of shyness. 'He must be really strong then' he guessed. Snape seemed to grow even paler as the youngest grinned mischeviously
"I'm Hyuk. Nice to meet ya" but the red head elbowed him in the side,
"Sorry. Nice to meet you sir" he added, subdued, glaring at the older boy. How he was going to deal with such a troublemaker constantly, Snape knew he was going to go insane.
