I woke up more tired than when I went to sleep late lastnight. I sat up in my bed and looked around my room. A mixture of Blue, black, purple and white swirled the walls. My window was open I must have left my room last night, My body told my mind to get drressed and go to school but my mind was screaming, "IT'S SUNDAY IDOT!!!"

I looked at the clock on my bed side table. 11:34 It flashed. less than thirty minutes till the pack meets up at the clearing two miles north of my house. I took a quick shower to get all of the tangles out of my hair. Then I changed into a new outfit {http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=35917650t }. I decided to keep my trashy blonde hair down today.

"Carter get down here!" My sister yelled. "We are going to be late!"

11:46 My clock flashed. Plenty of time.

"Carter I swear if you don't get down here I will come up there and rip your throat out!" I know why she wants to get there so bad. When a male wolf turns 18 he chooses his mate. The future Alpha's birthday is today.

"I'd like to see your fat butt catch me." I mumbled. "Shut up Scarlett I'm comming!"

I walked down the stairs. "Why are you so dressed up?" My sister asked. "Thinking the future alpha would actually choose you if you dress better?"

I looked down at my outfit. I dress like this all the time... I thought. "You know at least I have a chance of getting him Scarlett."

"Oh please." She snarled. "As if John would even look in your direction." Scarlett smiled.

"Are you gonna sit there and fantasize or are we gonna go? Your the one whoes been pressuring me."

"Oh shut up Carter!" She snapped. Stomping out the back door door.

Scarlett wore high tops she ran in the easy the girls in my pack never understood how I could run in high heels. Scar has always has hated me. I think its because I was always favorited over her. I'm not gonna lie she's REALLY pretty but no guy has looked at her the same way they looked at me when we are together. I don't see why guys are so attracted to me. I don't see the sexiness--as they said--that they all see. I truely think that I will be the last one to find a mate.

I'm the youngest out of all of us anyway. I'm only sixteen the only girl in the pack closest to my age is Christina and she's seventeen and GORGEOUS i'm sure John will be her mate.

John is the future Alpha its in his blood. He is also one of the most attractive men in the pack. When an 18 year old chooses his mate. he doesn't chose. He just sees it. The girl has to encounter touch with the man to know that he is her mate. After everything is figured out we celebrate. The guy can sense that she is his. I've never encountered the feeling when you first touch your mate. but I'm sure it will be one of the best moments of my life.

So I'm running through the woods with my nine-teen yearold sister who HATES me. Wondering who John's mate will be. I also wondered if he will violate pack rules.

Any man who kisses a woman who is not his mate is nocked out of order and is the lowest person in the pack. As for the whore he kissed she has to bare the name Whore until the counseler has declared that her penalties have dropped. The only way a man can make it back into the pack is through the counseler as well. As for our Counseler he or She has not yet been determined.

I made it to the clearing way before Scar. And my bestfriend Rose bounds up to me.

"Hey your just in time John isn't here yet." She said smiling.

Rose is only 18 she has not found her mate yet. We have spent countless night talking about it. she doesn't care. she still has hope that she'll find him before her 21st year.If a woman has not found her mate by their 21st birthday she is shipped away to a different pack where there are many young boys. Though when you are in your twenties and your mate is in his teens its hard to deal with the stares and judgement.

Rose is happy where she is though. She is in fact one of the prettiest girls in the pack. But she doesn't care she thinks that she's not as pretty as we all think. She's crazy to think so. to herself she is the girl that hides behind Carter. But she stands out more than I do. I'm the youngest girl in the pack.

"C'mon Ryan's starting the fire he must be close. lets find our seats." I say and we sit on a log close to the fire. It was cold out though winter was winding down I could still feel the sharpness of the cold.

"Look!" Rose gasped and pointed, "There's Christina! Her and John are made for each other!"

Christina walked into the clearing gracefully her curly light brown hair bouncing just slightly. She had stunning purple eyes.

"She's beautiful." I said.

Rose and I admired Christina until every other pack memeber was there.

"We have some great news today." Our Alpha said in his deep chiming voice. Christina sat straight and tall with a large smile spread across her face. So did Rose and I. Scarlett's dark hair flowed in the wind as she scowled Christina.

"I'm sure you all know that my own very son Jonathan turns 18 today. Today is the great day that he will be united with his Mate."

It almost sounded like I heard a sniffle come from Leah who was sitting on my left. Leah is the Alpha's wife and Jonathan's mother.

I smiled at her and patted her knee. "This is exciting." i whispered.

"You know what Carter? You are the exact person I would want my son to have as his Mate." She said and I was speechless so I continued to listen to the Alpha.

Me Carter Daniels John's mate? How could she think that? I wrestled this around in my head then decided to put my full un-divided attention to the Alpha.

"....But first I'd like to introduce a new member to the pack." Every on gasped and looked around. we haven't had an outsider join the Purple Moon Pack in over 70 years! "Pleas give a warm welcome to the newest addition to our pack mister Alek Rain!"

A medium sized kid walked out. he looked about my age but not quite yet 18. He had shaggy dirty blonde hair, perfect reddish pink lips. I closed my hazle eyes and opened my blue eyes to see him better. He had dark hazle eyes and a shy smile on his face.

"Now I have known Alek's mother who is now gone since I was a kid so I gladly took him in. He will be staying with Rosealie and Marcus. Rosealie is sitting right there Alek." He said pointing at me and Rose.

Alek nodded and sat down right beside Rose and I.

"Hi i'm Rose." She said holding her hand out he shook it, "and this is my bestfriend Carter. She lives right by us so if you need anything ask one of us."

He looked up at my and i blushed when he caught me looking at me with my Blue eyes. "Uhh. Umm. Hi." I stuttered. He was hot!
