Chapter 4:
Lana Mantra:
"The best element is, and will always be, surprise."
The words rang through Lana's ears as if they were just spoken. She was taught this when she was a mere age of six or seven, but the words never left her. They were used when she was caught in situations that even her strength couldn't help her out of.
So instead of letting her wolf take control like she wanted to, she took the Alpha by surprise.
She kissed him back, mimicking his movements. Their lips were in sync with one another's, and for a moment, she almost thought she heard her wolf howl in approval of the situation before them. It would be a lie if she said that she didn't like it- if she didn't want more of it.
But Lana was never one to give into her urges. Instead, she slowly took control of the situation, and turned them around so that the intruder was pushed against the wall. She heard the small gasps of the crowd behind them. They didn't know what Lana was doing.
Poor girl, they always think. She's crazy. She needs help. She doesn't understand.
Their reactions made Lana want to laugh as loud as she could. They had no faith in their Alpha. They had no hope for the girl who has lost everything. They thought she was delusional- mental even. But through all of their thoughts, she couldn't blame them. If it were to be anyone else in her position, she wouldn't think for a second to trust someone like that. They would be too far gone. Too broken to be fixed.
But the difference between that person and Lana was that Lana was deadly. She knew how to hold emotions in better than anyone she had ever known. She was lethal. She knew how to manipulate people into getting what she wanted. She knew how to kill people with just words. And she knew how to deceive people with her masks.
After seconds, she finally heard what she had been waiting for. A faint grunt escaped the intruder's lips, only loud enough for the strongest ears to pick up. Lana knew that the group behind her couldn't have possibly heard what she heard, but she took the opportunity to do what she had been dreading to do ever since the intruder walked into her territory.
She peeked under her eyelashes and seen his eyes closed. She smirked mentally and quickly released herself from his grasp. She watched as he tried to gain his senses back, chest heaving up and down and eyes a dark black from the lust that had overcame him just a moment ago.
With as much force as she could muster, she brought up her fist and punched him as hard as she could in his precious face. She heard the satisfying crack, followed by a loud groan. His hands cupped his cheek in pain. It was the hardest blow he had ever felt, and it only surprised him more we he looked up to see Alpha Lana.
His eyes became darker than before, but this time, not in lust. In anger.
He watched her smirk as she examined her clean hand checking to see if there were any scratches. In this time, he took note of how there were no rings. It made him wonder why it hurt so much if there was nothing but her fist, but pushed it to the back of his mind. He had other things to worry about, other than what was on her hand.
He waited for his wolf to take control of him, but for some reason, it didn't happen. Seconds passed as he waited for his wolf to tear her apart...but he never came. The intruder became angrier by the second at both his wolf and the young Alpha in front of him. She was still smirking at him, which only made him want to hurt her more.
A low growl escaped his lips at the pleasurable thought of killing her. But the growl wasn't from his wolf, it was from him.
On the other hand, Lana's wolf was going crazy. It wanted to kill, but it didn't want to kill the thing in her vision. It wanted more of what was in her vision. Lana knew at that moment that she was going to have no help with her stubborn wolf, and this made Lana pissed. She never had this happen before.
