"Do you know how old you are?" An old man asked a tiny girl. He was tall and had grey hair, his skin was tannish and wrinkly and he sat in a red leather chair. The tiny eleven year old named Chlow was laying down on a black chair. Her long black hair almost blended in and her white skin proved she hasn't seen the sun in some time.
"Eleven...." She answered with a disapproving voice, although it was squeaky.
"Ok, and what is your name?" The old man asked, he wrote down her last answer on some papers.
"Chlow... Like Chloe... But not..." she said quietly. She turned uncomfortably in her chair. He nodded and kept writing.
"Ok miss Chlow, take these pills and you'll be ok!" He said scoots his chair a bit and grabbing a pill case, that contains red and blue pills. Chlow watched with an evil glare and he popped open the case and gave her one. She held it in her hand loosely and stared, her vision was a bit blurry and she could barely see her hand in front of her.
"I'm already ok... It's just you stupid doctors who say I'm sick..." She exclaimed at looked up from the pill and at the doctor, who's face was distorted in her eyes because of her terrible vision.
"But you are sick my dear, we're doing this for you!" The old doctor yelled quite loudly but calmed himself. "Please, so you'll be ok and you'll be able to leave sooner if you do!"
"Ok..." She sat up straight in her chair, grabbed the cold glass half full of water and took a big swig with the pill. She hiccuped once and waited for the doctors next instructions. He just wrote more things down for about a minute then looked up.
"Ok, you may leave now. Go to your room."
She nodded, stood up very slowly and stumbled out of his office. The hall seemed longer than usual to her, he air felt cold. She walked crooked and could barely focus, only able to see a couple feet clearly. She stopped frequently to check the door numbers while looking for hers, she finally stopped in front of a dull wooden door with the numbers "189" on it. She grabbed the knob, opened the door, and slowly walked in. And that's where it all went down hill. She closed her door and stumbled to her bed, she laid down and stares up at the ceiling. As the sun set her room got darker, as it was illuminated before just by outside light. She kept staring at the ceiling, but as the light left she started to hear things. The sound of scratching echoed in her head, her fear grew as it became louder. Soon all she could hear was scratching on the walls, she tried to close her eyes and wish it away, but it would not leave. Soon along with the scratching she felt things crawling on her. It felt like millions of bug. It made her uncomfortable and tossed and turned. Deep down she knew it wasn't real but the thought that she can actually feel it made her sick. Soon the scratching and crawling feeling became to much, she jerked out of bed and turned on her room light. She looked around frantically, but it wasn't a surprise that she saw nothing, everything was normal in her room. This wasn't a new experience to Chlow, not at all. She's been going through the same crazy experiences almost every night for a month. She kept the light on and sat in her bed, looking down at the cold hard wood floor. She couldn't help but dart her glassy grey eyes around in fear of the sounds or feelings coming back. She tried to think back onto what made this start, what made her slip into madness, she didn't even remember how she got to the mental hospital in the first place. She tried and tried for a good half an hour to think. The time just passed the more she tried, seconds lead to minutes quicker then usual. She felt she actually was starting to remember and fight the meds the doctor gave when a small blurry image of a woman she didn't realize started to emerge. But as fast as it came, as fast as it left. A sudden knock on the bedroom door made her jump a bit and get snapped out of her concentration. Her head turn fast, her hair spun in the hair and landed in her face, she stared at the door and waited. The knob turned and slowly opened. A black claw came from the other side and scratched the wall. Chlow's eyes widened and she tried to scream but no sound came out. The claw opened the door more and began to come closer to her, She began to breathe heavily. She stood up quickly and began to back up away.
"chloooooowwww...." The voice came from the door, and it belonged to the claw coming at her. She began sweating and she hit the corner of the wall. "chloooooooowwww....." It repeated and came closer, she watches and her heart beat raised up and went faster. She could hear her own heart beat in her ears, soon it's all she herd as the claw came only inches away from her nose. Chlow closed her quickly and the silence from her suddenly turned into screams. She screamed loudly and held her hands over her eyes, the voice that called her name in a low raspy tone was suddenly her doctors worried voice.
"Chlow? What's wrong? What'd you see? Why were you afraid of me? I just came to see why your room lights were on!" He yelled at her and took her sweaty hand. Chlow slowly looked up and saw her old doctor.
"D-doctor? Where's the claw?..." She asked, ignoring his questions.
"What claw dear? I need to know." He said in a kind voice, trying to appeal to her to get more answers.
