Better than I Thought.

Chapter 1

Azlynn's POV:

"BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!"

I groaned. I slammed my hand on my alarm clock and rub my eyes.

Today is going to be a long day.  I look at the time.

7:32 am

I should probably get ready for work. I work at the library here in Seattle. 

As I brush my teeth, I see another notification on my phone from one of the many dating sites I forgot I was on.

"I really need to find all the site," I mumbled.

I was really have a hard time find "the one". You know, that person in the whole world that is perfect for you. Yeah, that one. I've joined so many dating sites, I've lost track.

I walked out the door with my trench coat, long scarf, sweater, jeans, and my nice boots.

My hair was braided to the side and my makeup was natural.

I smiled as I walked to my job. I always walked everywhere.

I stand in front of the library opening the tall doors to enter. I turn the sign to OPEN and walk behind the counter. I see many books in the drop off bins and I start my work.

I flip the side to CLOSED and walked back to the counter, grabbing my jacket and my purse.

I locked the door and start walking down the sidewalk.

When I was about halfway home, I stopped at a stop light, waiting for it to say walk.

Then, suddenly someone bumped into me and took my purse.

"Hey! That's my purse! Give that back!" I ran after them.

They ran into some guy in a suit and push them towards me.  I was knocked to the ground, but I got back up quick and started off again.

"GIVE ME MY PURSE BACK!" I yelled down the street.

I was passed by the man in the suit and he tackled the robber.

I quickly grabbed my purse after everything fell out.

I was about to grab my wallet, when another hand grabbed mine.  I looked up at saw the man in the suit.

"Thank you, sir," I said, quietly.

"You're welcome, miss.." He said, thinking.

"Azlynn, Azlynn is my name," I smiled.

"Nash." He smiled back.
