After I heard that I hoped on my bike and rode back to the orphanage
I was pacing around my room
I was practicing what to say
"Hi I'm Kate, i would love to be adopted by you" I said
The girls in my room were judging if I sound desperate or not
There was a knock at the door
It was my brother, Nick
"Nick! What are you doing here? Aren't you grounded?!?!?" I whisper yelled
"Don't worry sis, I'm a ninja!" He said as he backfliped into my room
Nick was 2 years older than me but we were still best friends
Suddenly the loud speaker came on "All children report to the main lobby"
"The only times we go to the main lobby is on adoption day" Natilie said
The only best friend I had here was my brother, Nick
I didn't want to have any other best friends because I know that one day either of us will get adopted
Me and Nick also swore that we were an all or nothing kind of team
So yeah
When we got to the main lobby, the head gardian,Mrs. Lina, had an announcement to make
"Adoption day has been moved to tomorrow!" She said cheerfully in her British accent
TOMORROW!!!that gave me even less time to prepare
Before we left she said "dress causally"
I layed out black skinny jeans, a Black Vail Brides tank top, spiked bangles, and black boots (pic above)
~time skip to morning~
I practically flew out of bed
I woke everyone I shared a room with up as I called dibs on the bathroom first
"Why are you excited?" Asked Sophia
"Well a YouTuber is coming" I replied
Before they could react ran to the bathroom to get dressed
When I was done I brushed my hair
I didn't wear makeup
People call me a natural beauty
I ran to my dresser and grabbed my lucky charm bracelet and my locket that had a picture of my whole family in it
I ran to the main lobby as the other kids got ready
I was first
There was already couples there so I hid
I didn't like talking to couples without Nick
Finally, Nick arrived in a boy version of my outfit and we walked in the main lobby
I saw Dan and grabbed Nick by the hand
I dragged him over to them
"Hi" Dan said
"I-I-I-I" I was frozen because I was talking to my idol
"Sorry" Nick said "that's my younger sister, Kate, she's a big fan... I'm Nick"
"Nice to meet you guys" Dan said
"Do you live here?" Jemma asked
I nodded
"We've lived since I was 3 and she was 1" Nick said motioning to me and him
"Well it was nice to meet you two!" Dan said
"Bye!" I managed to say
~time skip~
"Atention children!" Mrs.Lina said "your new parents are coming to collect you"
Me and Nick sat on a love seat
When, Dan and Jemma came over to us
"Oh, hey!" Nick said
"Well aren't you coming" Dan asked smiling
"W-what do you mean?" I asked
"We're adopting you" Jemma said
I was about to scream
When Nick put a hand over my mouth
I calmed down and gave my new parents a hug
