The next morning, we wake up at three to catch our plane that leaves at five. Martin drives us in a limo, and the limo ride is quiet. I lean on Nathan's shoulder and hold his hand, and Max's as well.

We get to security, doing what we're told, and then we sit down, waiting at the gate. Tom gets us some coffees and Starbucks, and we sit there in silence. I continue to hold Nathan's hand.

Today, there are no fans that meet them at the airport. We didn't tell anyone that we were leaving, so we are going incognito.

I rest my head on Nathan's shoulder as I get a call from Peyton. "Hi Peyton," I moan, in my tired voice.

"Hi Haley. Are you on your way?" she asks, sounding just as tired.

"Yeah, the boys are coming as well. How's he doing?"

"He's getting worse. The doctor say anytime now. He's still in a coma."

"Okay, well, even though he's in a coma, tell him I'll be there soon. I'll see you in a bit. Bye," and I hang up.

"How's he doing?" asks Jay, taking a sip of his coffee. None of us got a very good sleep last night.

"He's worse. He's still in a coma. The doctors say he might not have much time left. I really wanna see him," and I start crying again.

Nathan kisses my forehead. "We will. Our flight will get here soon, then we'll be able to see him. I promise. Just try and sleep okay?"

I lay on his shoulder, looking at everyone. Max is sleeping against Siva's shoulder, and Siva is sleeping on Max's head. Tom is laying against Max, and Jay is now laying against Tom. They made a train.

I rest my eyes, not being able to sleep. All I can think about is losing my best friend, and it hurts so much. He, besides Nathan, is the only one I can turn to about anything, and now, I might not be able too.

The lady on the intercom startles me and the boys. "We are now boarding flight 324 to Los Angeles. Flight 324 to Los Angeles,"

We all stand up, and walk to the gate. I still hold Nathan's hand. Even when we board the plane, when we sit down, when we sleep. I'm always holding on to his hand.

I lay on his shoulder, and he rests his head on my head. "If anything happens, I'm always here for you," he tells me.

"Good, because I'm going to need you to lean on if I lose him. I can't go back down that road again, Nath. I can't. My scars are finally disappearing. I can't make new ones."

"I know, and I'm going to help you through out. No matter what," he says, promising me.

Normally, I would be freaking out about flying, but I didn't notice that we were already in the air. I guess I have too much on my mind to worry about anything else.

We finally land, and it's close to three o'clock here. We call a cab and drive to the hotel we're staying in. We drop our stuff off in the rooms, then we take the cab to the hospital.

I hold Nathan's hand as we walk to the lady at the front desk. "Hi, um, we're here to see Lucas Scott?"

"Okay, how do you know Lucas?" she asks.

  "He's my best friend."

"Okay, well, you can just go, these guys will have to stay," she says, then gives me Lucas' room number.
