Alison yelled as the car that was now her prison cell hit yet another bump that sent her flying into the side. "What's wrong back there? You want your mommy?" the man taunted her. He laughed at himself like he was the funniest thing in the world.

Alison squirmed around in an attempt to find something to somehow hold onto so that she wouldn't be forced to tumble around the back of the car like a sack of potatoes.

She wiggled herself over and finally she found the wall, but at the same time the man hit his brakes, sending her flying forward. Her head hit thin metal and made a loud thud as she slipped out of consciousness.

Alison awoke to the sound of the metal doors of the car opening, and the loud scraping noise the door made when the man got out and slammed his door.

Yelping, scrunched up into a little ball. Everything hurt. She had been thrown around in every direction countless times. She knew now why her mommy and daddy had always told her to wear her seat belt... Oh how she wanted to be in her one or both of their arms.

She wanted to feel their love, for them to comfort her and never let go ever again. She could imagine their faces in her mind, but the image shattered like a pane of glass as the big metal door on the back of the truck opened.

The laughter that she heard was beginning to become familiar as the man laughed at her, but this time there was another voice laughing with him.

It was a lady's voice.

The man climbed in and grabbed her. He put her in his arms and pulled the sack off of her head.

Allison looked around. They were in a big garage, a warehouse maybe. The ceiling was high, and the huge metal door that the van was parked next to was closed. The ground was a light gray, cement. The walls were made of sheet metal and they reflected the little light that came in through the small sky lights on the roof.

SHe looked into the face of my captor. He had big, evil looking green eyes. A scruffily beard, and a bald head that he covered with a plain black hat. He was muscular, and tall.

She glanced around for the lady. The lady had short brown hair and was skinny as a stick. Her eyes were a pale blue.

"Bring her to the empty room at the end of the hall," said the lady. She then walked out of the room.

The man took her through a different set of doors. She stared at him with a silent pleading face.

We walked through a long hallway with lots of doors. Each door had a little slit in it, and a window with a blank white shade on it.

He finally reached the end of the hall and stopped to pull out a key. He unlocked the door using one of the many keys that were on a huge key ring.

He opened the door and dropped her into the small room. It was no bigger than a small bedroom. In one corner was a bed, and everything was either a pale grey or a dirty white.

"Stay here," he told Allison while he sat her down on the bed. He ran his hand through her mess of curls. "Someone will be here soon to talk to you."

Then he left before she could ask him any questions.

I thought about the day. All I had wanted was to go on a little bike ride, but this nasty man and his dog... Tears swelled as I thought about the dog and all of the bruises that would definitely cover my body tomorrow. That is I I lived till tomorrow.

I had heard some stories on the news about bad men who took little girls from their homes, but daddy always told me not to worry about them. He said I should be careful and not talk to strangers. He should have told me about big mean dogs too.

I sat there and sat there for a long time. I started to get cold. I shivered and realized that I was getting hungry too.

Finally I heard the sound of keys on the other side of the door. The door opened and another man walked in. He held the door opens with his foot while he bent down and picked up a tray and a bag. He stepped into the room and smiled at me. He set the tray on my bed and pulled a worn fleece blanket out of the bag. He handed the blanket to me an pointed to the tray "eat," he said.

I picked up the fork and looked at the small pile of Mac n cheese on the plate. It smelled yummy, but I hesitated as I looked at it. I was to hungry to complain so I ate it. There was a tiny salad on the plate too.

It actually tasted pretty good.

While I was eating, the man pulled a brush, some clothes, and a few other things that I didn't recognize out of his bag.

When the contents of his bag were scattered all over the floor he leaned against the walk and starred at me. His eyes followed my every move.

It scared me.

I finished the food as fast as I could and slowly set the fork down.

"Someone needs to teach you some manners," he said in a monotone voice.

I looked down at my hands and felt a tear form in the corner of my eye.

"And they need to teach you not to be a baby," he said in disgust.

I mumbled a sorry and a thank you for the food before glancing up at his eyes. He grabbed the brush and say down on the bed. He pointed for me to sit down on the floor and he began to brush my hair.

I was scared at first, I didn't know what he was going to do, but eventually I just imagined that his hands where my mummy's hands and I relaxed just a little tiny bit.
