"There."I skimmed through the writing in the book. I smiled at all the impossible things that have happened. As I continued to look through the pages, I felt a pair of arms go around my waist.

"Whatcha doin'?" a cool voice whispered into my ear.

"Just reminiscing about the past." I leaned into the broad body. I turned around and got a full view of his face. Soft messy hair, the color of freshly laid snow. Icy blue eyes pierced into my plain dark brown ones.

.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.

"Hah...." I sighed deeply, leaning my head on the palm of my hand as I was writing a report of the things that happened in the week, after school, for it was my turn to do so.

"What's wrong?" Casey, a good friend I frequently hang out with, asked, concerned.

"Nah, it's nothing really. I just think the the teachers like to pile up homework higher and higher as finals come up."

"Hey hey, I didn't think you really minded that stuff, being a girl with straight A's in all her honor classes. I should be the one complaining here." He gave a little mocking pout.
"Just because I have good grades doesn't mean that I like homework. Anyways, aren't you also pretty smart?" I lightly jabbed his stomach.

"Ouch!" he jokingly rubbed his stomach as if in pain. "I think Ms. Muscle Woman needs to go and take a break from this accumulating stress." his grey eyes crinkle as he gave a huge grin, then a wink. "Mr. Handsome is here to save the day." I blinked, then slowly smiled back, happy to have someone like him supporting me.

"Thanks." I stood up, ruffling his fluffy black hair and walked towards the classroom door. "I'll see you by our lockers." Exiting the class, I wandered down the halls aimlessly, thinking about my friendship with Casey. He was a one of a kind guy, amazing at practically everything, physical looks top notch, and with a great personality. Sometimes, I questioned why he was sticking with me all this way, instead of going off and joining in with the supposed "popular group". I jolted out of my haze as I stopped in front of the library. Opening the door slowly, I peeked in. "Mrs. Lamera?" I spoke out the head librarian's name quietly. There was no answer. I walked on in, knowing that she would not mind much, for I share her passion in books, especially in the genre of fantasy. Suddenly, I tripped over an unseen math textbook on the ground, tumbling before I used my hand to help steady myself with a bookshelf. I glared at it, my hatred towards math flared greater than before. It seemed that my weight has pushed something however, for a part of the wall across from me swung open.

"Of course. A hidden door in the library. The next thing I'll know is that I find some ancient magical book within a glass case." I muttered off my breath, walking towards the welcoming door. An extravagant room was revealed, the walls covered with more than a thousand books, naturally lit with one big skylight. Beautiful metal designs decorated the room shining brightly from the light.

"Well, this room is obviously not part of the school." I said to myself. Right in the center of the room, as if it was purposely teasing me, was a book inside a glass case. Walking up to it, the case popped open by itself, the book put in open air. It seemed to be fresh and clean like brand new, titled, A Tale of Music and Myths. Curious, I opened to the first page, the paper crisp as I turned it. I stared at it, in minor confusion. I flipped through the next few pages. "Why is it --?!" Before I could finish my sentence, a silver light emitted from the book, engulfing me. "What the...!"

And I blacked out.

Well I wonder why I couldn't possibly predict what was going to happen next.
