"Mia! Time to wake up! You need to get ready for school!" Herobrine yelled up the stairs. Mia rolled her eyes, before swinging her legs out from underneath the covers and jumping out of bed.

"Coming, dad!" She yelled back. She grabbed a black skirt, a midnight blue sweater, a black tank top, and a pair of black high tops. Throwing on her clothes, she tied her shoes and raced down the stairs. Herobrine chuckled once he saw her head appear over the railing.

"Forgetting something?" He asked. Mia looked at him, confused. He pointed to his head and she smiled.

"Right. Be right back!" She exclaimed, running back upstairs. She went into the washroom and looked at her hair. Since she didn't have time to shower, she straightened her hair, brushed it, and put it in a braid hanging over her left shoulder, instead of brushing it while it was still curly and having to deal with the frizzy struggle afterwards.

Sliding down the railing, she grabbed a piece of toast with strawberry jam, and yanked her backpack from the chair, flinging it over her shoulder.

"Have your lunch and your textbooks?" Herobrine asked.

"Yup."

"Do you have your necklace?" He asked. Mia looked down at the silver circle with an M engraved on it, hanging around her neck from a silver chain.

"Yeah. I'll see you after school, dad," she said, hugging him and jumping into the portal. She arrived in the OverWorld, and ran down the path that lead to the town. Finishing her fast breakfast, she reached the high school, and skidded to a stop before she collided with a group of kids. A girl and boy who looked like twins turned to face her.

"Allison! Jack! Get up! You don't wanna be late!" Steve yelled. Allison rolled her eyes, smiling. She finished putting on her mascara while Jack threw on a black jacket over his white shirt.

"We're already up, dad!" Jack replied. Allison put a white flower clip in her dark hair, running her fingers through the curls.

"You're so lucky that you have straight hair," she muttered at Jack.

"I'm jealous of your eyes," he replied. Allison looked up into the mirror at her heterochromic eyes. One was the same stormy grey as Jack's, and the other was a pale blue. "Anyway, we need to get going. Let's go."

"Wait! Our necklaces," Allison remembered. She grabbed hers from the bathroom counter, looking at the silver circle and chain, the circle with an A engraved into it. She handing it to Jack who fastened it around her neck, and she did the same for him, although his looked more... Boy-ish due to the longer chain and the obsidian circle with a silver J.

The two sprinted down the stairs and out the door, passing by Steve with a "See ya!"

They got to school before the first bell, and gathered in front of the door with their small group of friends.

"Hey you two! How was your summer?" Mason asked.

"Good. How's the Budder Kingdom?" Allison replied.

"It's good. A little difficult to run right now because we have a whole bunch of young guards, fresh from guard training." Mason shrugged. Allison looked over, to see a girl around her age almost run into them. She tapped Jack on the shoulder before turning to the girl. Her and Allison both had the same dark, curly hair, and even though the other girl's hair was straightened and braided, the curl still showed in the tips and the smaller, shorter pieces framing her face. Her eyes were pale blue, the same colour as Allison's right eye.

Both of them, and Jack, were slender and tall, and looking at their foreheads, the other girl noticed they both had a line on the top right side of their forehead, which is what everyone gets the first time they go through a Nether portal. The girl paused, spotting Allison and Jack's necklaces.
