Beep Beep Bee-
I hit the snooze on my alarm clock. Turning over I groaned to check the time.
“This isn’t right.” I moaned as I got up and headed to the washroom. It was summer yet still I was awake at 7am just for a minimum wage job.
“Oh no honey, it’s on me.” I imagined myself saying to Marie-Anne in a luxurious club. I pierced the mirror with the most seductive look I could muster.
“Oh what’s that, I’m so filthy rich you wanna make out, well I can’t say no to that.” I wrapped my arms around my torso and moved them around as I made kissy noises.
I stopped and stared at my reflection in the mirror.
“Well that was sad.”

“You and Kelly will be in charge of the Ferris wheel.” Robert ordered.
“I guess we’re partners then huh.” The girl with the brown hair said as she nudged my arm.
“Guess so.”I replied.
I looked out over the amusement park. The sun was already beating down on us. The rides gleamed dully in the sunlight. It was somewhat creepy seeing the park like this, all abandoned and quiet. The other workers stood at their station either talking to their partner or engrossing themselves with whatever seemed of even the mildest interest.
I looked around the park for Sean and found him flirting with one of the prettier employees.
“Poor soul.” I muttered to myself, bowing my head.
“So young so naïve.” I continued slightly louder, my voice shaking in mock sorrow.
“He’s a flirt.” Kelly said pointing her chin in the direction of Sean.
“Your friend.” She continued.
“sadly.” I replied.
“cute.” she added, nodding approvingly.
“He gets it from me.”
She turned to look at me.
“He should leave some for you then.” She replied.
“You cheeky son of a gun.” I whispered, glaring at her from the corner of my eye.
“I get that a lot.” She remarked coolly
“You cheeky son of a transgendered turtle.”
“Now that I don’t.”
I returned my focus towards Sean. Now he had the girl on his lap. I looked on grudgingly, just as every other male employee in the park was. I would never admit it but there was something admirable about a guy who moved so fast. Of course when I tell him I usually refer to the skill as being a ‘man whore’. I imagined myself holding Marie- Anne on my lap the same way. Her pretty blonde curls would tickle my face, and I’d touch her long tan legs. Out of the corner of my eye I looked at Kelly. She was the complete opposite of Marie-Anne, straight brown hair, glasses, not tan. What was it about Marie-Anne that was so mesmerizing. Her looks were something, but there was another thing, an air of mystery that surrounded her. She had recently moved in next door. Typically I didnt care about new neighbours, but that day, when she got out of her car, I had been placing my bike in the garage. I noticed her hair first, then everything else. She was like a goddess in her mini jean skirt and pink tank top. I couldn’t help but stare at her. Of course she noticed, she shot me a look that said something like “don’t even try.” And so I haven’t. I just watch from my bedroom, which makes me sound like a creep, but to be fair its not like she had tried to hide anything. The first day I realized her bedroom was exactly across from mine, and that I could see her window from mine, I simply looked out of curiosity. Except now it could be described as a sort of mild obsession. In a good way, I mean I don’t plan on killing her, just maybe a kiss or something

“I wanna go on now!” the little girl cried.
“Just a sec, ok it’s almost your turn.” I replied with a smile.
"I wanna go on now!" the little girl yelled stomping her foot.
"Listen here you little tw-" I leaned over and whispered
Kelly cleared her throat. I straightened up.
"You little twinkling star, your turn is soon, so be good and wait." I finished straightening up and plastering a smile onto my face.
"Your ugly." the little girl said in reply.
It was nearly closing time, and I was certain if I had to work another an hour, my face would surely be on tomorrows newspaper under the headline 'crazed boy strangles child to death'. I had finished chaining the Ferris wheel when I noticed a sketch book sitting on the bench nearby. It must be Kelly’s I thought as I picked it up. I had barley looked at the first page when she came charging at me.
"What in the hell Kelly!" i screamed
“Don’t ever touch my sketch book.” She yelled back.
“Holy shit, it’s just a sketch book.” I replied as I tried to get up.
“Hey Kelly mind getting off of me?” I asked rudely.
She was sitting on top of me still glaring at me holding her sketch book to her chest.
“I’ll get up when I decide to get up.” She growled back.
“C’mon I didn’t know I was gonna give it back.” I tried to apologize
Without a reply she got off of me and turned to walk away. I quickly stood up and jogged to catch up to her.
“I’m sorry!”I yelled exasperated.
“I didn’t mean to bother you.” I continued.
“It’s alright.” Kelly replied as she continued walking.
I stood and watched her as she continued on her way.
‘I bet Marie-Anne is nothing like that’ I thought as I turned around and headed back to the park to find Sean and ride home.
“How was your first day at kid kingdom?” my mother asked as I entered the kitchen and picked at the left over’s still on the counter.
“good.” I replied as I began to warm up some pasta.
I had just sat down to eat when my grandpa hobbled in.
“Where the hells your dad?” he croaked as he eased himself into a chair.
I looked up at my grandpa, he seemed somewhat tired.
“He’s in the garage.” My mother replied as she set a kettle on the stove.
The moment I entered my room I dropped to the floor, piling up some of my clothe to cushion my head.
“Finally.”I moaned as I stretched on the ground. After several minutes stretching on the ground I decided to get up. I began to undress myself, folding my uniform and placing it in my closet. I stood in my boxers looking around my room.
‘Now what.’ I thought as I leaned against the wall wincing as the cold surface touched my back. Almost as if to answer me, a gust of wind blew through my window shaking the blinds.
“How could I have forgotten?”I said as I picked up my binoculars and took a seat. I inched my shades up slowly.
There she was, her back was to me, she sat at her desk, and she seemed to be writing. Her curtains were opened, so that nothing obstructed my view.
