THE START 02

The night the baby arrived at Earth...

In the obstetrics and gynecology hospital...

"ARGHH!!"

"You can do it!! A bit more!!" One of the nurse encouraged her.

"Hold yourself!" Said another nurse called Ina. "Reina, you can do it!!"

"ARGHH!!" Reina yelled in pain, "HELP ME!!"

"Ohh... Reina... please..." A man standing next to her holding hand pleaded in desperation.

Tears twinkled by the ceiling light trickled down Reina's face. Then suddenly the room felt dark by a bright light pole made outside of the hospital. The pole was endless and was impossible to see the end.

"What is that..." Ina said in a whispering voice looking at the pole.

All of the nurse looked out for a second then concentrated back on Reina's scream.

Ina faced back as well thinking 'Was that from one of those people?'

"Ina! Please concentrate! The baby's nearly out!!" Demanded one of the nurse there.

Ina chose to not think about that anymore.

There was scream of crying, "The baby! He's finally out! Perfectly fine and healthy baby...!"

Ina held the baby and walked towards Reina so she could see. "Reina, he's your son!"

Reina faced the baby and let out a pleased sigh, "Cute boy, isn't it?"

"Yes...! What a boy, he just looks like you, Reina!" Reina's husband told her.

After the baby and the mother moved, Ina got ready to go back to her home, so she got changed. Before she left, she chose to visit the baby and Reina, because Reina was her close friend who was 1 year older than Ina.

Ina walked the cold, dark hospital corridor. When she arrived at where the babies are kept, she looked through the window to see the baby. The baby opened his eyes when Ina was watching him, falling in love with the baby. Then Ina noticed something weird about the baby...

Ina knocked on one of the hospital room door. Knock, knock.

"Yes?" Replied from inside.

"Its me Reina..." Ina answered her.

"Oh..! Ina, come in, come in!" Reina welcomed cheerfully. Ina opened the door and went in the room. Reina was leaning on the pillow on a forty-five degrees.

"How're you feeling, Reina?" Ina asked getting chair next to the bed sitting down.

"Well, to be honest, not so good, I'm very tired..."

"Then why were still up, not sleeping?"

"Oh... I knew you were going to come and visit me. I was waiting for you." Reina said smiling.

"Oh... well, I think you know me much then I do..." Reina and Ina laughed together. "Um... Reina?" Suddenly caught Reina's attention sharply.

"Before I came to see you, I saw your baby.... He was really sweet and cute but..." Ina hesitated.

"What is it? Oh.. please Ina, don't make me so scared...!" Reina shook a little.

"No, it is not a really bad thing as in... you know... but... he just opened his eye just then, and I..." Ina kept hesitated to say, she was searching for words that can explain well. "I... saw his eyes turn pitch black... then... turned back to clear brown colour... just like your brown eye, Reina..."

Reina looked a bit shocked. "Just making sure... you're definitely not one of those people, right? And your husband as well?" Ina asked carefully

"Of course! We're not one of those people! And you might be thinking, but he is husband and my child for sure!" Reina shouted.

"I was just checking.... Don't get too mad at me... you know, its... its really weird to have a baby like him between people like us."

"Yes, I know, sorry shouting at you Ina..." Reina apologised quietly. "We'll just have to wait until we get sure... and we can ask them, after it is recognisable."

"Yea... but you don't think that light pole.... no, never mind, anyway talk about it later..." Ina said, and she changed the subject. "Ah! What is your son's name going to be? You haven't told me yet, always told me you'll tell me after birth!"

"Yes! Forgot about that! Well, hehem... Drum roll?" Ina drummed her lap, laughing. "He's name is...."

After having a good chat with Reina, Ina left the hospital and went to catch the bus to get home. The time was 9 o'clock sharp. It was a cold day compare to few days before. After 20 minutes in the bus, Ina got off the bus. It was dark and cold, white breath came out of the mouth. Ina pulled her scarf up and covered her mouth and nose. She walked towards her house. While walking, Ina saw someone crying going past her. She had a silk blue hair and black dress, which looked it'll be very cold in this weather.

When Ina arrived at her house, she saw a basket in front of her door. She walked towards the basket and saw a beautiful baby inside it sleeping quietly, with a note on top of her.

When she finished reading she stared at the baby and muttered, "Eve..." She hesitated. She loved babies but she wasn't sure if she could live with this baby, she wasn't married and she was still quite young. She hesitated but surely chose to take the baby with her, since the baby woke up and looked like she was about to cry. She lifted the basket and looked at the baby closely. By the moon light, Ina saw the baby, her hair was bright red with bright red eyes as well, twinkling by the light.

"Eve, I'm your mum from now on, my name is Ina, and your birthday will be today." Ina told Eve.

"January the 31st, two lovely babies' birthday, Eve and... Siu, my little child, Eve, Reina's little child, Siu. The last day of the January..."

Ina walked in her house and thought she'll go shopping tomorrow to buy things for Eve.

Until when that event happened, they lived happily, the four of them, even though Eve and Siu might have been teased from other kids, but that is okay, but not that event, which separated them, it was when the babies were 7 years old...
