A Short New Year's Special! [Bee x Human!Puppycat] Kiss Under the Fireworks

A/N: Happy 2016, guys! :33 Here is a short one-shot of Bee x Human!Puppycat, for you cool dudes (but you're not as cool as Papyrus <--- Undertale reference).

Second Person POV

Today was the start of a new, crappy year.

Bee sighed. Fifteen more minutes before the ball drops, she thought. Why can't the night go by faster?

She wouldn't admit it, but all she's waiting for are the fireworks...and Puppycat to come back from work. Yup, they've been a couple for the past few months now. But with Puppycat working overseas, she spent her Christmas, and now New Year, alone in her apartment.

"Puppycat..." The brunette mumbled. It's a weird ass name for strangers, but to Bee, it's adorable. It reminds her of her cat once that was named Puppycat since it smells like a dog. Coincidence? Maybe. Still, she loves him whole.

She didn't know it, but she spent those fifteen minutes thinking of her life with Puppycat. He has a good job and is being paid good money, but they aren't enough to supply for them both. Since Cardamon isn't their landlord anymore, bills and other problems are stacking more and more, and quarrels are often exchanged in the apartment...Some may say that their relationship isn't healthy, but they both disagree. Why? They love each other. No matter what stands between them, love would always prevail in those dark times.

"10!" The TV said.

She sighed, sitting on the window sill and waited for those mesmerizing fireworks to explode into the sky in different, beautiful colors.

Puppycat's POV

I ran.

Panting, I avoided bumping into people and ran as humanly as possible. Where am I running to, and what am I running from?

I quit my job a few weeks back. Boss had been to hard on me and my fellow employees, shouting at us to work faster. I can't handle all the stress. I just want to be with Bee.

I came back to America by plane. I arrived yesterday. Good thing I only have a black backpack as my only luggage. What? I don't need more clothes than those I need.

Anyways, I ran down the street, determined to arrive at our apartment before the clock strikes twelve. (Like Cinderella, am I right? >U>)

Dang it, it's hard to move past all these kids! Groups of hip teenagers passing by and talking about new trends aren't helping either, considering they did usually travel in large groups.

As I neared the apartment, a car drove right past me. Startled, I stumbled and fell to the ground on my butt. Growling, I was about to shout profanities at this rowdy driver, but stopped since I remembered that I still have to get to Bee's apartment.

I stood up and brushed off the dirt behind me, before running up to the apartment. Knowing that Bee would always leave the door unlocked, I didn't hesitate to slam the door open and enter.

Bee's POV

"6! 7!"

I counted with the TV, nervously tapping my fingers. I didn't know why, but I sense something exciting to happen. What is it? I'm quite eager to know.

"5! 4!"

With that, the door was slammed open and close. Humming, I began to turn around, but then a pair of familiar arms wrapped around my waist and twirled me around to face the 'intruder'.

"3! 2!"

Their finger wound under my chin and I was forced to look up gently. The sight over joyed me. It was Puppycat!

"1!"

Smiling, he kissed me. I didn't hesistate to kiss back. I snaked my hands up his arms and around his neck, pulling him in closer.

The sound of fireworks were heard outside. We broke our kiss and looked outside the window, still in each other's warm embrace. We watched as colors exploded into the sky.

"I love you, Bee.
"I love you too, Puppycat."

And just like the sky, fireworks exploded into our hearts, warming both of us up with love and tenderness.
