Chapter 18

Third Person View

As the contenders walked into the arena, my good friend NSP is on top of a platform on top of the Arena while counting the contenders that walk in.

"Hey, I'm not counting the contenders! I'm just looking at them."

Yeah, yeah.

He sighed and then looked into his Host Menu. All I could say that there is a menu for each job, so don't be confused.

He then pressed close gate, well I think all players are all in the arena

"Correct." He smiled and then goes into his inventory and set it beside the Host Menu.

He then took out the Mic from his Inventory and started

Welcome to the Arena Map, it is around 5 Times Bigger than PopularMMO's Original Map. You could say we enhanced it, but no, we made this out of scratch. The Arena starts with 1 Boss, each wave it'll add another. So if you reach wave 10, it'll be a handful.

That's too hard for them you know. He sighed and pressed a button on the Menu.

Kathryn's PoV

I held my Bow firmly, I gotten the Glacier Bow. I had practice with a Bow many times during real life, so the aim system won't help, that's why I deactivate it.

Let's Begin!

Then the ground shook.

These are prototype enemies that don't follow attack patterns. These were the mobs we made before making the clones. It also has a fatal weakspot, and you can only damage it there!

I then ran out of the crowd. I know all of them are waiting for the enemy, but I won't! I looked up and I saw a Meteors coming down from the sky. It fell in front of me so I had to stop.

The giant rock spitted up and it showed what looked like a Large Spider, but the legs are flaming and it has 2 pincers on the front.

The Spider Crab, having the fire element and when it dies; it'll spawn either 20 Cave Spiders or 5 Giant Crabs.

The Spider raised its pincer and tried to hit me with it but I dodged it. I then jumped onto its Pincer and ran up it and jumped.

When I was about to pass by the face, I aimed the Bow at the mouth where I saw fire, then an Ice Arrow formed in the Middle. I let go of the string.

I then landed on the left side of the Spider Crab and looked at it, the Crab lost ¼ of its health. Inside the mouth was the weakspot! I aimed my bow again at the mouth again.

It looked at me and then it jumped!

I looked up and it was on the ceiling. It looked at me and shot out 5 large fire balls out of its mouth.

I aimed my bow and then the end of the bow gotten engulfed in ice.

"Ice Blaster." I said

I let go of the string and then many shards of Ice got shot out of the end. It destroyed one of the fireballs that were heading towards me, while the rest of the fireballs hit the other players.

7 Players Died

I let go of the Bow and it burst into flames and disappear.

Then I saw multiple arrows being shot towards the Spider Crab but no effect, they still don't know about the weak spot.

"Kathryn! You managed to damage the Boss." I saw Aretha besides me.

"The weak spot is inside the mouth. The core." I said to Aretha while pointing at its mouth.

Aretha nodded and take out her message menu and send it to someone "There, I send it to the others."

Third Person View

Billy ran across the arena towards. A Shadow appeared under him so he jumped and then the Spider Crab landed at where he was. He would have died if he didn't jump, he landed and he then he looked at it.

He started running under it. The Spider Crab tried to grab him, but well... he already went under. When Billy past it, the Spider Crab turned around and followed him. Billy hits his iron sword on the floor as he runs, keeping the Spider Crab's Attention to him.

Sally ran behind of the Boss and jumped on its back and she held on. She then shouted "Core Destruction!" she unsheathe both her Burning Daggers and stabbed the back of the Spider Crab.

The Spider Crab stopped and then it suddenly lost more health and the fire from the legs burst large flames. But it immediately went back to normal and tried to wriggle off Sally.

Sally jumped off with her daggers and she landed behind the Spider. It turned around and faced Sally, and then the spider jumped. And while in the air it shot fire balls out of its mouth before landing on the ceiling again.

Sally crossed her daggers and shouted "Impale!" then Earth Spikes Burst out the floor and it destroyed all of the fireballs and then stopped.

(Author's Note: I am getting tired from putting these notes but I won't stop so you can understand each thing in this story in the end! Right now, remember in chapter 4 where Billy did "Earth Art: Impale"? Well because that was a skill book in his skill slot. But here, Sally just said "Impale" because it is an official skill in her weapon while Billy just used a skill book. Longest note yet!)

Then 3 Players with swords ran up the spikes and then jumped towards the Spider Crab. But the Spider Crab swung its right pincer and hit the Players and they flew to the other side of the Arena.

3 Players Died

Aretha gripped her bow and looked at Kathryn "Kathryn, use this." She said as she gave Kathryn the bow.

"But-"

"It'll be fine; I still have my trusty twin daggers." She said and then threw the bow at Kathryn. Aretha doesn't want to tell her about the disadvantage she has. "You are way better with the bow. Plus this is way better than that Ice Bow you have!" she insisted.

Kathryn hesitated but she eventually grabbed it and then opened its skills.

Aretha then she swung both her hands and her Twin Daggers appeared on her hands and she smiled at Kathryn "Go ahead and shoot."

Kathryn nodded and aimed her bow at the Spider Crab, that is dodging some of the arrows and spears of the other players, and a dark arrow formed in the middle. She didn't have time to see the descriptions of the skills so she just picked one.

"The Night Bringer" She let goes of the string and then the arrow flew towards the Spider Crabs Head.

At the exact moment, the Spider Crab moved its head so the Arrow flew exactly at the Mouth, into the Fiery Core. And then the fire started bursting out of its mouth and its 8 eyes.

Now that was an accurate shot, really accurate.

All of its health go down and then dropped to zero. The Spider turned grey and then turned into dust! Many Cave Spiders came out of the ashes; they were small but still deadly.

Wow... Well Not much people died this round.

Then NSP moved his Mic away from him and whispered "Lazy B*stards, just letting Billy's Group do all the job" Then he put his Mic back closer and then shouted

Let the Fun Start!

Then two more Meteors fell into the Arena.

I think this is going to be a great battle that the Author can't write.

So I think we will leave it here then!
