Nights Along The Shadowy Darkness

Chapter 2

Luna woke up in shock from a dream. As she got up and walked out of the den she saw that it was dawn so she knew her pack would wake up soon enough. Everything had calmed down since the violet incident and Luna was happy even though she lost her dearest sister daisy that night. Deep in her thoughts Luna didn't realize that her friend Silvermoon was sitting beside her. "Morning Luna!" Silvermoon said with her always cheerful voice startling Luna as she spoke "oh, hi Silvermoon" Luna replied gazing at her. "Did u sleep well?" Luna asked knowing Silvermoon would start going on and on about how Luna needs to move on about daisy since she's in a better place. "Oh I sure did!" Silvermoon replied nodding. As they continued to talk a white figure caught Luna's eyes it was Snowstorm who was walking up to them. "Hi Snowstorm!" Silvermoon said as soon as he approached. Snowstorm looked at Luna causing her to blush ' its a good think that I have a black fur ' Luna thought to herself. "Well morning Silvermoon and Luna" Snowstorm said he walked away for a sec and came back with a small piece of buck for the three of them giving them each a piece. Luna nodded her thanks and began to eat as Silvermoon began to blab away as she ate.

~Luna's POV~

After eating I walked over to my father Crow to see if there was anything that needed to be done and like always there is "there is a new heard of elks that are over the riverbank I need you and your hunters to get at least two elks from that heard" I growled quietly then replied "But, father why two you know how the male el~" I was interrupted by Crow's loud growl as he snapped at me "Are you refusing to do my order again Luna!?" I opened my mouth but quickly shut it shaking my head "you better not now, go do what I told you!" Crow barked. Not wanting to argue I walked off and headed over to my hunting group to tell them what we need to do. Like always Rose has to complain about it "two!? Why two?? Why can't we just hunt one?" Rocky nodded and muttered his agreement. Shortly after we all headed out to the riverbank like crow ordered us to. Hours later we return with only one elk and a lot of injuries......... Crow was mad..
