Chapter 6

Hey everyone! So did you all enjoy the nice cliffhanger I gave you as a New Year's present? I hope you did! Alright, we'll start with Opal for this chapter.

I arrived in Larimar City without a scratch, thankfully losing that creep who wanted to kill me. I spotted Aqua and Flourite sitting outside of a hotel. I started to run towards them. The next thing I knew, I was on the ground, glass flat I my back. How did this happen? I asked myself. A white male Gem offered me his hand. "You should watch where you're going, miss. This city gets crowded very easily, especially when it's shopping hours." I got very angry. "Whatch where I'm going? You're the one that ran into me!" "Miss, you ran into me. Did you spot a friend out something?" I looked at the ground. "I thought I did.." I muttered. "It's unbecoming of a lady to mutter." The Gem said. "And what do you know about being a lady?" I asked. "I have three sisters. I had to listen to all their lessons for years." I came to a sudden realization. "You're a white Topaz!" He gave a confused look. "Yes, but how did you know?" "I don't have a clue. Well, I need to be going now!" I said, and dashed towards the hotel, leaving the Topaz to stare after me.

Aqua's POV now!

I saw Opal running towards us. I stood up to give her a hug. "Opal. Something happened to Flourite. I don't know what, but she collapsed  after you started running. In the time since then, she's gained a horrendous fever, and she won't wake up. I was hoping you'd know before we'd have to call a doctor." "Let's go inside, Aqua. I can carry her. You lead me to the room." Opal said, and picked up Flourite like she was giving her a piggy back rude and Flourite had fallen asleep on her back. "Let's go inside." I led Opal inside and up to the third floor, to room 302. "This is our room." I held the door open and Opal went inside first. When I entered, I locked the door. Opal had laid Flourite down on a chair. "She's just suffering from power loss. It happens in Gems younger than a hundred. She used a lot of her gem power to summon that shield to save you. She'll recover by tomorrow and be her normal self." Opal said, and pulled a thin blanket over Flourite. "We'll leave her here for now. When we check on her in the morning, she should be fine." I sat down on one of the three beds. "I just.. don't want to lose my little sister, Opal. We've been through so much together and I don't know what I'll do if I lost her." I felt some tears slide down my face. Opal cane over and hugged me. "You're not going to lose her, Aqua. She'll be fine. I promise."
