Chapter Five

*Day of the gig*

Sophia's POV (Michael's body)

'Just remember, smile, talk, jump around and have fun.' Luke said to me while we were leaving the backstage area to go to the stage.

'And remember every single chord as well.' I mumbled. Nervous was an understatement right now. We neared the wings of the stage and the crowd was going wild.

'Ready?' Ash grinned.

'Totally.' I rolled my eyes but smiled back. Calum handed me my guitar and I put it around my neck. The lights on stage dimmed and I followed Luke out onto stage.

'Hello London!' He yelled into the microphone.

'One two three four!' Ash yelled and tapped his drumsticks together. We started Try Hard and the crowd were jumping up and down. Luke started singing and I had to admit, everything was sounding amazing. I joined in singing too and gave a small wave to the crowd. Superhero followed Try Hard, then after that we had a short pause to say hello to the crowd.

'How are we London?' Calum asked. Screams erupted from the crowd.

'I take that as you are all feeling fucking great?' Luke shouted and the band and crowd burst into laughter.

'As most of you know, well I hope you do, this is Ashton on the drums, Luke on guitar, Michael also on guitar and me on the bass!' Calum yelled.

I gave another wave to the crowd and smiled into the lights. It felt amazing being on stage infront of so many people, it was something i've never experienced before.

'Michael here had the nerves before but it looks like they've gone away!' Ash said and smiled at me.

'I'm feeling much better now, this crowd is insane!' I yelled into the mic.

'Guys, we should probably keep playing otherwise this show is never going to finish.' Luke interrupted.

About an hour later and we ran off stage with huge smiles on our faces. As soon as we were backstage, the boys patted me on the back and gave me thumbs up.

'You killed it out there tonight!' Ash said and hi-fived me.

'Thanks guys.' I laughed.

'See? Not so bad is it.' Calum joked and lightly punched my shoulder.

'It was actually pretty amazing.' I smiled.

'Maybe you should join the band and we'll dump Mike, that sounds like a pretty sick idea.' Luke laughed and I shook my head.

'I doubt that was anywhere near as good as Michael plays.'

'You've learnt how to sing and play guitar in two weeks, the fact that you did that already shows how talented you are.' Luke said.

'Naw you guys, stop making me blush!' I joked around as we walked into out changeroom. I grabbed my bag and quickly changed into a new shirt and fixed my hair.

'We're leaving in two so hurry up!' Cal yelled from the other side of the toilets.

'I'm coming out now.' I mumbled and walked back into the change room. We were lead out to a private car park that's made for the peformers to get out of the venue without being noticed.

'Alright guys, in you get.' The security guard said as he opened the door to the van. I took a seat next to Calum and we headed back to our house. We stayed up for a few hours playing fifa and snacking on food before falling fast asleep.

13th December Michael's POV (Sophia's body)

The plane just touched down in London and I could feel the nerves bubbling up inside of me. What if this was a big waste of time and Sophia and I couldn't even switch bodies? I pushed away my thoughts, got off the plane and collected my luggage. Our manager Adam picked me up from the airport and drove us back to where they were staying.

'Come on.' He smiled at me and led me inside.

'We're home!' He called out. Cal, Ash and Luke came running out and almost tackled me to the ground.

'Hello to you too.' I laughed. I noticed my body leaning against the wall but of course Sophia's soul was inside.

'Hey.' I smiled.

'This is so trippy, but hey.' She laughed.

'I know right.' I joined in laughing.

'Well, are we going to try it or not?' Luke asked, eager to swap our souls back.

'Uh, are you up to it?' I asked Sophia.

'I guess.' She shrugged. I set my bag down and prepared to run at her.

'On three. One, two, three!' Ashton yelled. I nodded at Sophia and ran at her, seconds later feeling a pain on my head and my hearing and sight went all weird. Seconds later and I was knocked out cold.

*10 minutes later*

'Are they awake yet?' I heard Calum's voice from besides me.

'They should be soon, it's been 10 minutes.' Ashton said.

I slowly opened my eyes to see ash hovering over me with a worried expeession.

'Oh you're awake!' He smiled. 'Guys, Sophia's awake! Wait, did it work? Did you guys swap back?' He asked.

I looked down to see myself back in my own body.

'It worked!' I grinned.

'Serious?' Luke asked.

'No.' I joked.

'Where's Sophia?' I asked.

'Over there. She's still not awake yet.' Calum said.

'I am.' She said.

'How are you feeling? I have a sore head.' I said.

'Same.' She groaned.

'Get some ice on it guys.' Luke suggested. Cal went and got us both ice packs to make the swelling and pain go down.

'So, now what?' Ash asked.

'Well Sophia doesn't go back for another two weeks so, we could show her around.' Luke said.

'That'd be nice.' Sophia smiled.

'I can't believe it actually worked.' I said, still shocked from what happened.

'It's weird, i'm used to having a girls voice and now my voice seems so much more deeper.' I laughed.

'Well, I'm glad it happened because it was a pretty incredible experience playing on stage to thousands of people and hanging out with these guys for the past few weeks.' Sophia grinned.

'Oh yeah Mike we forgot to tell you, you're fired. Soph here actually did a better job than you on stage.' Ash said.

'Hey, you're not getting rid of me again.' I laughed.

'So, shall we go sightseeing then?' Luke asked and we all agreed. Little did we know, this was the start of a new friendship between Sophia and us boys. It was a completely different experience, and just like Sophia, i'm glad it happened.
