Creature's One shots

New Years Eve

I was feeling some what bummy last night and into today for the first of the year. But  i felt like making a one shot anyways so yay!

I finished this in July whoops...enjoy it though...was originally going to be sad...but..im happy again <3

James came up with the brilliant idea of having a new year's eve party at the creature house. Only catch was everybody had to bring their own booze and shit.  Aleks had made a rule of nobody sleeping in his room unless he says so which James was fine with.

"Alright we got snacks right?"James asked Aleks going over the check list.

"Yup."Aleks replied.

"Our own booze and shit with a few extras for people who are unable to get the stuff?"

"Yup."

"Decorations up and party supplies?"

"Double yup"

"uhhhhh....video games, actual food to be made and or is being made, dips, different containers for people to puke in, trash bags and....regular drinks?"

"All of them we have!"Aleks said cheerfully. He was looking forward to this night and he knew James was too. 

"Only thing is we gotta get cooking and setting up decorations"James stated. Aleks nodded and pondered for a moment.

"I finish up the cooking and you decorate?Then i'll come help you finish"he then stated. James gave a curt nod and walked out of the room but not before saying "Please don't burn down the house" to which Aleks snorted.

Soon enough everyone arrived at the creature house and the party was in full swing. Delicious foods were made and not burned. Sly yelled at Jordan for putting country music on and gained control of being the DJ, putting on some sick beats. People are beginning to get a bit tipsy as well.

It was only about eight o'clock so the party still had plenty of time to go on. Aleks was joking around with Seamus and just chatting him up.

"So are you gonna do it?" Aleks asked, sipping his beer. Seamus' face became tinged with a light hue of red and he adjusted his glasses.

"I would like to...but.."Seamus hesitated."..are you sure he likes me?"he then finished, biting the bottom of his lip. Aleks furrowed his eyebrows and nodded instantly.

"Hell yeah he does! He's like so into you. Like have you seen the way he hugs you?"

"Well he does that to everybody"

"Yeah but with you its a lot longer and he does it to you most"Aleks pointed out. Seamus looked to the ground and bit his lip harder. He was about to speak up but was intercepted by Aleks' voice.

"I've also seen him attempting to play footsie with you" Aleks spoke quietly. "And him being my best friend Seamus..I know when likes someone because I've seen it before. You two definitely could hit it off trust me..now go on and run to him!" 

Seamus' lips curved up into a small smile and gave a curt nod. "Thanks Aleks.." he whispered before walking away to go find Sly. Aleks grinned to himself feeling as though he did something great. His mind then wandered to the fact he was single and he didn't have anybody. He was one the only one out of the Creatures that didn't have a girlfriend or boyfriend. He then briefly remembered that James was on the same boat as he was. A lot of people joked about how Aleks didn't have a girlfriend which Aleks hated it. Nobody ever teased James much except Aleks himself. However Aleks a little over a year ago discovered he sort of liked both men and women. He's told no one except Jordan and Jordan made it his duty to not say a word to anybody. Overtime however Aleks developed a crush on James and it irked him because James was straight as a board. He would never date somebody like Aleks himself. He's not good enough for-

"Hey man, you alright?" asked a low voice. Aleks snapped out of his downward spiraling thoughts to see James touching his shoulder. His breath hitched slightly forgetting what words were.

"Y-yeah I'm fine.."Aleks managed to stutter out. James half grinned, knowing that Aleks was lying. 

"You're lying Aleksandr.."James chuckled. "But lets take your mind off of whatever it is that is bugging you."

Aleks nodded and James tugged him to the kitchen where Jordan was making some kind of alcoholic drink. Jordan offered a cup to Aleks and Aleks took it gladly, chugging the entire thing within seconds. A reaction of a scrunched face and a 'holy shit' immediately followed through.

"Aw! Damn dude..that fucking shit burns..but it was great"Aleks coughed. The rest of the people in the kitchen laughed. Aleks was soon engulfing himself with more alcoholic drinks over the next few hours. By now it was just ten minutes to midnight and everybody was drunk off their ass. Seamus and Sly had announced their love for each other around 10 o'clock which everybody was supportive.

"Yo less than ten minutes 'til midnight!"Dan announced with a cheer. Aleks' heart skipped a beat and briefly glanced toward James who was getting some fireworks ready for a little fun and what not. Everybody started gathering around the television to wait for the ball to drop. It was 11:58 when James went to the front of the group to stand beside the television. Aleks as well as others were confused as all hell.

"You see...I wanted to confess something.."James said boldly. "I like somebody here and I like them a lot..."

Aleks just gave a mental eye roll and thought it would be just some girl at the party. His heart sank and wished for the night to be over.

"And he is a very special person to me"James added in quickly but proudly. Aleks' head snapped to attention at the word 'he' and met the gaze of James' eyes. James took a few strides over to Aleks.

"I've known him a good amount of time and I must say..he is an asshole...but so am I.."James laughed and so did others." I've seen this man at his best and worst...and he's helped me so much too..."

Voices from both the TV and the room began to countdown from ten.

"10!"

"His name.."

"9!"

"Is Aleksandr.."

"8!"

"Marchant"

"7!"

"And all I.."

"6!"

"Want to say is..."

"5!"

"I.."

"4!"

Aleks' eyes began to water.

"3!"

James takes Aleks' hands in his.

"2!"

"I love you Aleks"

"1!"

James pulls Aleks in and smashes his lips against his. A chorus of cheers and 'Happy New Years' fill up the entire room. Within the minutes between the years have gone by, James and Aleks break apart, Aleks smiling with tears falling down his cheeks.

"Lets hear it for Aleks and James!"Jordan yells cheerfully. Another chorus of cheer erupt and clapping ensues. Aleks blushes and laughs along with James. He then finally turns to James and locks eyes with his.

"By the way...I'm drunk..but.."Aleks said softly."I love you too"

With that remark James laughed and pulled Aleks in for another loving kiss. Together the two spent the rest of the night dancing and joking along with their friends. This was certainly the best closing and beginning of the new year that either of the men have had in their lives.
