Aiden McCall. He was a great guy in high school, but I didn't really know him much. He was known as the 'it' guy. Strong, funny, friendly, and handsome.

Yes, Aiden was and still is handsome.

So what is he doing here?

"Aiden? Are you okay? Hey, do you need anything?" I reached towards him, my face softening in the process.

If I didn't know him, I wouldn't had been doing this.

"Who are you, and how do you know me?" His eyes widened with confusion and maybe even fear.

Oops. That wasn't my intention.

"I'm Reid, I went to school with you." I didn't even think he would remember, it's been about 3 years since then. We all moved on, different routes and different places.

At least I thought we all had. I didn't. And clearly Aiden didn't either.

"Reid? I know you." His head was bowed down. His eyes didn't meet mine. Okay?

"Aiden, do you need anything? It's not safe to be out here alone at this time." I tried reasoning with him, they could rob him, or he could walk into the street being drunk and not even know where he is headed.

"I don't need anything."

Okay...

"I can walk with you so you can get home safely." Offering him an alternative. He couldn't stay here, I'll feel guilty if anything happened to him.

"I can't go home! She is there! I don't want to go back there to see her!" Anger was presented not only on his voice, but face and body movements and all. He stood up at that movement. Stumbling, falling all over the place.

"Well somewhere else you can stay at? You can't just stay here all night."

My arms were flying all over the place. Talking more with my hands than with words.

His gaze fell on my eyes and they slightly softened as he saw my concerned face.

"I don't know where to go." He roughly confessed.

So we are back to Aiden being rude.

I take a good look at him and realize something.

He is tall.

I had to look up, my head tilted in a weird degree. I'm five foot and six inches. I'm not short, yet he still seems tall.

"Okay fine. I'll just let you go on your own." I didn't want to make him angrier, I didn't want to walk away either, but I didn't know what to do.

Taking a few steps, I felt bad again. Right when I was turning around, a hand took a hold of my arm.

Aiden's hand.

"I'm sorry."

"It's okay." Forgiving him for his actions. He wasn't all that rude, his tone of voice was though.

"Can,... I mhm... stay at your place for tonight? Just tonight.? His voice trailed at the end. Clearly he wasn't sure why he was asking but he felt the need to do so. He didn't have anyone, it appeared so.

"I don't know." I said as I looked at him. He had a aura that read 'innocence.' Made me even trust him. "Well, I guess one night won't be bad." I trailed off, hoping I won't regret this.

"Thank you. I promise I'll be respectful."

He seemed sincere, his face seemed concerned. What was I supposed to do?

"I live in an apartment with two friends. Just letting you know." Informing him about my friends.

Speaking of them, they won't be too happy about this. They are going to freak out for a bit, scolding me in the process.

I'll deal with them when I get home.

I've never written a short storie so I'm sorry if this is actually long. It won't be in the number of chapters. I promise. :)
