I wasn't sure where to go first.

After much consideration I decided we'd start our journey to Mount Sunshine as it was the closest destination.

Mount Sunshine wasn't as pretty as one might think. It's the tallest mountain in My Place, the reasoning behind the name was due to how close it was to the sun. It got the first rays of sunshine before anything else. From almost anywhere outside you could see Mount Sunshine.

But one needs to be careful of this mountain. While there is a lot of light there that also means there are many shadows casted. Creatures hide in these shadows, wait until the cloak of night and pounce on those left wandering in the dark. Things that remained abandoned were the main cause of these frights.

Not too many were ignorant enough to stay at Mount Sunshine overnight without some prior precaution.

Little Deemo didn't seemed fazed by this when I tried to explain this to her. I wasn't sure if it was from lack of understanding or if she was courageous as she was lively.

As we approached the mountain, many thoughts ran through my head; where would her instrument part be up there? Would it be hidden? What if something else had it already?

I wasn't a violent creature, I made it a point to not show any harm towards anything in My Place, even things that wished to harm me. And I had my doubts Little Deemo was a violent human, so if something else had her instrument part I wasn't quite sure how we'd go about getting it back.

As we approached the mountain, it towered over us so severely we leaned back in order to see the top. Little Deemo continued to play with her ribbon as she looked to me. She seemed somewhat overwhelmed by this grand hilltop.

I scanned the mountain for a way up. It would take us all day to get to the top, coming down would certainly bring us into the night. I scratched my head, thinking to maybe attempt this mountain at a different time.

However, a book happened to fly by and rolled over on a ledge of the mountain side. When the book touched the surface of the mountain all around it glowed a magnificent orange. It caught the attention of Little Deemo.

She ran to one of the pathways up the mountain and was even so bold as to climb part of the wall to read the book. In a panic I chased after her, but when I got to her she was five meters up the side of the mountain wall. She grunted in effort as she reached upwards for the book. In fright, the book flew away, the orange disappearing along with it.

She seemed disappointed and pouted where she was hanging from.

I attempted to call her down, but I got little response. She stuck her tongue out at me.

I glared up at her as she continued to ignore me and attempted to continue climbing. It wasn't safe for her.

Her attention went away from where she was attempting to go to the surfaces she was touching; they were a bright blue.

The mountain wasn't very good at keeping the same colour when faced with certain shadows. Shadows of foreign objects often resulted in casting coloured shadows. Little Deemo seemed to find this frightening and her grip slipped and she tumbled backwards.

I was a mess below her, not knowing what to do until she actually fell to within my reach.

She was rolling down the slant. My panic went down as she rolled onto the ground before me. She grumbled and wiped the dirt from her hair but seemed find, somewhat rattled, but fine nevertheless. She glared at me however when I chuckled.

She seemed more inclined to follow me after that. She was still shocked by the mountains trickery.

I showed her how my touch and shadow casted a somewhat gold colour on the already golden surface. I wasn't such an amazing thing according to this mountain, and it didn't bother me.
