This story was so good, yet so sad! I loved the relationship between Gilda and Sajana, and the reoccurring objects and situations worked nicely. Also, hearing Sajana's tale of her horrible life due to the racism she and her sister had to endure daily was very moving.
The only thing I would suggest changing is the timing. Most of the book takes place in two days, which is pretty unrealistic, and I would put it into at least three or four by adding some nights in between some key events.
