Patient

„Another successful surgery, (Last name)-sensei. You are really the best doctor of our hospital here in Kyoto." The head of the hospital said to the beautiful woman as he approached her.

"Oh, do not exaggerate. My team was a big help and support for me. I would not be able to save the life of our patient all by myself."

The older man giggled. "You are so modest and kind. Are you going to the ambulance, now?" he asked.

"Yes, my working hour is not over yet." You smiled tiredly.

"I appreciate your hard work." He tapped your shoulder.

You sighed. Yeah, maybe he appreciates it, but he could have just let me off. So tired, so tired.

"Doctor (Last name)!" One of the nurses approached you.

"Yuki, what happened? Any problem with patients or any emergency?" you asked.

"Well, not really. There at the ambulance is not any problem, but one patient from the post-operative department wanted to see especially you. He would not let any other doctor to check up on him. We tried to convince him, but without any progress. He said, he is absolute and that we should not defy his orders. I am so sorry; we caused more troubles." The nurse bowed down.

"Never mind. What is his name, I will check up on him." You smiled knowingly.

"Akashi Seijuro." The nurse answered.

"Akashi Seijuro?", you said, "I do not have any patient of mine, who would be named Akashi."

"Ano, he is one of the patients of Doctor Midorima. They are friends from their middle school days, but it seems that Akashi-san got interested in you. He ordered Doctor Midorima to bring you to him. Of course, Doctor Midorima was not pleased, but he could not do anything. Unfortunately, his working hours were over before he could search for you and asked you to check his patient." The nurse chuckled. It was amusing how the grow up men could act when they were interested in some woman.

"I cannot do it, Yuki. He is the patient of another doctor. I do not have the right to steal patients of other doctors. Say someone else, who is in the charge of the department, where Akashi-san is." You said with angry face. You did not want others to be talking bad about you. You have had enough of that. You wanted to focus only at your work and to improve your doctor's skills.

"You have to, Doctor (Last name)! He will not let us to go near him and he does not want to eat his medicaments. He has to be in a lot of pain because of his surgery." The nurse cleared her throat. "Only you can save him from his pain." She smiled wickedly.

"You are so cheeky, Yuki." You shook your head, but smiled. She really knew how to convince you. "Well, then say to Doctor Midorima, that I want him to take me to dinner. And expensive one!" You said while walking to the post-operative department.

When you arrived at the department, you asked where the room of this Akashi guy is.

You came in front of his room and knocked lightly. If he were asleep, you would leave him alone. Yeah, you really wished for him being asleep, so you would not need to deal with bossy man. Well, your wishes did not come true as you heard come in.

"Good evening, Mr. Akashi?" you confirmed.

"Yes, I had been waiting for you, (Name)." he said with a smirk.

You came near him and started to study the papers of his treatment and records. Then you looked at him and you caught him observing you. You smiled a little. He looked terrible in your eyes. Well, you have seen a lot of patients, who was looking much worse, but you could not bring yourself to imagine him lazing or staying peacefully in the hospital. He did not belong to the modest room. He needed a fancy one. He looked like an expensive painting in an old, faded frame.
