I woke up from my nap to a gun shot and a scream. I jolted out of the bed and ran to the living room to see Edward bleeding on the ground. I froze when I saw my dad. I ran over to Edward and held his hand.
"Edward?" I asked.
"I'm fine Bella." he replied.
The cops showed up after Abby dialed the number and the ambulance showed up too. Charlie got arrested and I road to the hospital with Edward. Abby came later just as Edward went into surgery. Carlisle and Esme even came down. Ever since I met them, they have treated me like their own daughter.
"He'll be fine Bella." Carlisle said.
Esme held me close as I continued crying.
"He's a strong boy, he'll make it." Esme whispered.
I sniffles as Abby brought some food over. I slowly ate it. Edward's been in surgery for an hour now and I'm still worried. Esme saw the engagement ring and smiled at me. She kissed my forehead, right as Dr. Spring came out. I stood up as he walked over to us.
"Is he ok?" I asked.
"He's fine. If you want to see him, you can." Dr. Spring replied.
He told us the room name and number and I walked there. He was on the hospital bed awake and he smiled at me as fresh tears streamed down my face. I ran over to him and he kissed my forehead.
"Shhhh. Bella, its alright. I'm ok love." he told me.
"You almost died." I said.
"Yes, but I'm still here. I wont ever die while we're together." he told me.
I smiled and kissed him as Esme came over and kissed his forehead. Carlisle came over and rubbed my shoulder reassuring me that everything would be fine.
"So, we need to tell you guys something." Edward said.
"What's that?" Carlisle asked.
"Bella and I are engaged." Edward replied.
Both Esme and Carlisle were smiling. Abby already knew and then she left the room to give us space.

1 Week Later
It was our last day in California. We went back to our apartment and packed all our stuff. We needed to leave as soon as possible. It had horrible memories in this room.
"Edward." I said.
"Yes?" he asked.
"In the end, I ended up saving you instead of you saving me." I replied.
"No Bella. We saved each other." he said.
I smiled and kissed him as he held me close and we backed up to the bed. I took off his shirt as he took off mine. I saw his abs and he saw my lacy black bra. He took ooff my shorts and I took off his. Now, we were both in our underwear and soon that came off too. We were now completely naked and soon we were under the covers. The only thing we did the rest of the night was make love to each other and moan. *~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*
I woke up the next morning on Edward's chest. He was sleeping still and I replayed what we did last night in my head. I cant believe that we had sex. I didn't think we would've done that till we were married. All I can say, is that it was amazing. Edward was starting to wake up now.
"Morning love." he whispered.
"Morning." I said.
He kissed me and then we got up and took our showers. We also got dressed and then, we left and got on the bus. We were back in Forks by 7 pm. Soon, Esme surprised us with our own house to live in. It was across the street and I had a whole new wardrobe. Edward and I could now live out our life here in Forks. This is where I belong. With my one true love, and his family. Hopefully, we'll have our own little family someday.
