Well, here I am... standing in a white dress holding warm, familiar hands that no longer have to hold onto the past. This is a time to be in the now, and appreciate all the pain and heartache that took place to get here. We're finally going to be bounded together, at least on paper, truth is we've always been together emotionally, physically, and mentally.
It was always us and everyone else, we never needed other people in our lives. With their disapproving looks and questioning glances, people would point," What's wrong?" They would say. Everything, except for us. That was the only thing we knew was right. That we could hold on to, and keep close, and safe, and meaningful.
People didn't get it, they were always caught up in a world that never stopped moving. Getting places and doing things As fast as possible. They didn't know that if you took a moment you could feel things stop and notice the Beaty right now. This was truly beautiful. A bulb was blooming into something so breathtaking, something that took so much nurturing and care that sometimes you wanting to give up, but you worked through it and made it into this.
That's only the surface though, the mask of what people see. A girl
In a white dress and a man in a black suit. No one knows the roots behind it all, the mess of tangled stories of dark times and golden moments. Like roots that give you support and something to keep you planted and upright. Before all the growing and development though, there was nothing special, nothing great, nothing really there. Just a seed in the ground, just a fleeting glance passing each other in the crowd. Just a seed in the ground was all it took. A seed in the ground under a pile of dirt. It started out finite and meaningless, but look at it now.
So here I am... with the man I love, together, ready to begin something truly beautiful.
