" Oh, where are we going, Grace? " Beck exclaimed, watching his petite girlfriend as she dragged him towards a large field. It was full of bright wild flowers and patches of cat tails and loose weeds. Grace practically danced in front him, skipping to her way to the field.
A soft smile tugged at Beck's lips as he matched her pace. Wrapping an arm around her, his head tilting down to whisper in her ear, " I'll race you to the field. "
Grinning a dimpled smile, Grace accepted enthusiastically, " You're on! "
5.…4.…3...2...
" One! " They yelled in unison, smiling as they burst off to the field, just within reach. Grace neared the field first, and the moment her feet hit the soft grassy ground, she exclaimed, " I WI--- "
Beck wrapped his arms around her and practically tackled her to the ground, her landing on top of him.
Grace erupted into a fit of giggles as Beck smothered her in innocent kisses, his lips at her cheek, her ear, her neck, her lips, her nose. Playfully batting him away, she looked at him through long lashes.
" You're silly, willy. " She grinned in her dimpled way, her cheeks full of color. Carefully sitting up and balancing Grace on his lap, Beck brushed his now disheveled hair out of his face.
" So, beautiful, why are we here again? " He tilted his head to the side, watching her with warm brown eyes.
" I wanted to get out.. And this place was so colorful.. And I thought, hey, Maybe Beck will go with me? "
" And here I am. " He grinned and nuzzled against her neck with his nose.
They had ended up in a circle of wild flowers, the soft grass beneath them. The sun was a bright beacon in the sky, and Beck's gaze remained on Grace.
" And here you are.. " She smiled at him softly, in some sort of secret way. Beck laid back on the grass and a curious Grace leaned over him.
" What are you thinking about? "
Beck grinned softly up at her and murmured, " You, and everything about you, and how I love you, and how I want to spend the rest of my life with you.. " His brown eyes were so sure, so full of love that the next thing Grace knew, she had bent over Beck's body and caressed his lips with her own.
She kissed him in a slow caress, as Beck's hand reached up to the back of her neck and lowered her mouth closer against his. Curling up on her side against his body, Grace lightly twirled Beck's hair around her dainty fingers as their lips remained locked. When they kissed like this, it made her feel this tingly sensation from the top of her head, like butterflies through her stomach, and finished at her toes. It was so natural, and so familiar.
Beck sat up and pulled her onto his lap directly, his lips never leaving hers . Her lips parted against his, and soon this kiss appeared more intimate. Grace spread her legs apart and straddled Beck's waist, her fingers sliding down to wrap around the fabric of his plaid shirt to pull him closer. His tongue softly slipped into her mouth in a hesitant manner, but Grace wouldn't let it stay hesitant. Her mouth covered his and sensually moved against his, her hands sliding down to slide beneath his shirt, her hands running over lean muscles as Beck gripped her hips.
Rolling over, he pinned her as Grace's hands quickly unbuttoned his shirt, her fingertips fumbling with the buttons. She pulled off his shirt as well as she could, her hands running along the exposed skin. Beck helped her slide off the shirt as his own hand cautiously slipped to the bare skin of her side, just beneath her shirt.
He pulled up for air, breathing heavily.
" Oh Grace.. " He gave her a crooked grin, " You really must stop doing this to me. "
A blushing Grace smiled at him guiltily , " I know.. I just can't resist. " She had to mentally force herself to keep her eyes on his and not on his shirtless body.
" I want to.. You know, I do.. But not on a field. Not here, not now. I want to when we're married. "
And then he said it.
He had always dropped hints like this before, but never, not once, had he said the 'm' word.
Grace's eyes were wide as she watched Beck. He slipped his hand along her's and entwined fingers.
" Grace, I love you. I'll love you until I die, and even after that, I will love you even then. I haven't the proper ring yet, but I'll get one, but will you answer me one simple question? " He warm brown gaze never leaving her blue one, he brushed a strand of blonde hair out of her face.
" Will you marry me, Grace Lillian Adilida? "
Eyes still wide, her face cracked into the biggest smile, and her eyes grew watery as she exclaimed,
" Yes, of course! "
Beck cracked into a big goofy smile as he wrapped her arms around and hugged her tightly.
" You just made my life perfect, Grace. Everything is perfect, " He murmured against her hair.
And it was perfect for her too.
