There was a clash of something against the surface of the dark water, causing ripples to shift it's otherwise calm surface. Julianne sat perched on the rock, her binoculars resting on her chest. Pushing her glasses up with her fingertip, she tried to recall the spot where she had seen this disturbance. Grabbing her binoculars, she gazed through them. Through the nearly opaque water she saw a silvery form beneath the dark waves, nearly thirty feet away.

No.. It couldn't possibly be coming towards her.

There it was again! Only closer, now about half the distance as before. A huge, almost triangular shaped object splashed the surface.  She squinted her eyes and narrowed the binoculars down, to see if she could see anything. Biting her lip hard, frightened, excited, curious.

Suddenly, the shape appeared again, just beneath her, the silvery form. It splashed water into her face, which an impact the knocked the binoculars from her hands and into the murky abyss.

  And then the shape disappeared.

Julianne leaned over the edge, staring into the dark water beneath her. Whatever it was, it had to be down there..

She called out anxiously, " Hello.. ? "

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a huge burst of water appeared, a flash of silver and she felt something grabbing her. Julianne tried to scream, but her mouth became full of water, muffling the sound. Something resembling hands pulled her down, her body clashing against the water, and before she knew it, she was beneath the frigid waves.

She couldn't see anything, couldn't see anything in front of her. Instinct made her try to kick to get away, shoving at the scaly things that had grabbed her, but no luck.

Julianne was continuously being tugged down, deeper and deeper until when her blue eyes looked up, frightened, she could barely see any light from the full moon.

She was running out of air, and she was being dragged further beneath this cold water..

How would she escape?

Suddenly, as out of nowhere, they stopped. Her body felt dragged down.. Weak.. And the last thing she saw, was a set of unnatural green eyes, staring deep into her own.
