"Rise and Shine!", Hanji yelled jumping on my bed and I smile sleepily. I missed my human Hanji alarm. I got up, stretching towards the bathroom while Hanji fixed my sheets and laid out my clean uniform. After getting dressed I went downstairs for training.
"Hey Lacey!", Eren greeted as he and his friends came into view
"Hey guys", I replied with a wave
"Everyone in formation!", Levi yelled and everyone ran into their spots "everyone start training! Those who were late run ten laps!". There were a few whispers, groan, and sighs
"That includes you Cadet Zoe", he added and I pouted
"Wa- what? I was early Corporal", I whined and he glared at me
"Get to it Cadet! Or I'll add on laps", he ordered, I rolled my eyes but started to run with the others
Minutes later.....
The others were out of breath by the seven run around, but I was just fine. I was used to running, because I would run around town- doing errands for dad.
"Done!", I called out with a smile as the others kept going
"You're done that fast?", Levi asked and I nodded "then fine a partner and start training"
"Okay, um", I whispered and looked for a partner- everyone had a partner.... "Um Corporal? There's no one left...."
"Fine", he sighed annoyingly and turned to me "then I'll be your partner". My eyes widened and I gulped nervously
"Um o-okay....", I mumbled getting into my fighting stance and he smirked.
Hanji's POV (short)
Erwin and I walked out into the courtyard to see the cadets training and a few running- they must've been late. I noticed most of them stopped and looked a few feet from them. There, fighting intensely, was Shorty and my little sister
"Levi! Wha-", Erwin began to yell, but I stopped him
"Leave them be", I spoke with a smile "she can handle herself"
"What if she get hurt? Or worse, Levi kills her", he asked obviously concerned with Lacey's well-being
"She can handle herself", I repeated nodding and looked at the two fighters "she's been training for this her whole life"
Lacey's POV
He was extremely fast, almost inhuman. I knew from Hanji not to underestimate him, because he's short. This was Humanity's Strongest Soldier, he was build to kill and win, but he never met me.
"Good in defense, but can you hit me brat?!", he asked hitting my fast and dangerously
"Yes, just finding the right time Corporal", I replied holding my arms to cover my face and peeked out at him. Blocking and defense were nothing for me, I could easily take hits even from Levi. When my second of opportunity came, I punched and kicked Levi. He stumbled back a bit, but came back full force. He swung at me and I dodged it by going under his arm and swiftly moving behind him. I thrusted my elbow into his back and grabbed the back of his shirt, making him fall back. He fell to the ground and I climbed over him
"Hm, I like this position", I whispered and his eyed widened a bit "we should try this another time, in a situation where were not killing each other"
"Cadets! Back in formation!", I heard Erwin yell and got up quickly
"Ha! Shorty got beat up by my sister!", Hanji laughed and Levi glared at her
"It was simply beginner's luck Hanji- Chan", I mumbled not looking at Levi, but I can feel his death stare "don't embarrass the Corporal"
"Enough, Levi go get cleaned up", Erwin told the furious little man "I'll handle the cadets until you get back"

"Can't believe you beat the Corporal in hand to hand combat!", Armin whispered and I sighed
"Ah, it seemed like it was just yesterday when Eren almost got stomp to death in the courtroom", Reiner spoke with a smartass tone, Eren and Mikasa glared at him "now Levi has been beaten"
"You guys are blowing this way out of proportion", I sighed moving my food around but they ignored me and continued- it's not that big of a deal...
"So Lacey win, doesn't that mean she's humanity's strongest?", Connie asked and they all looked to me "that's totally awesome"
"Stop, you're annoying her", Jean finally spoke and I nodded
"Thank you Jean", I replied and finished my drink "I had beginner's luck, if Levi was really ready I would've had my ass handed to me"
