Chapter 1: Back...and Alive

Atsuko's Pov

Its been about 12 years since I've seen the outside world. That old stingy man... he told me that I would be "asleep" for a couple of years. Well, it's been a couple of years already and-

*Creeeaaaak* The seal finally... I'm free to leave.

I quickly dressed into my white kimono and sandals then stepped outside, into the open world. The breeze of the wind was different than any other I felt in that disgusting droppy place.

There I stood dozing off from the fresh wind when I suddenly felt someone's reiatsu (spirutal pressure) near by. I was trained at the soul society for 1 day and already knew everything. I was best at tracking and sensing reiatsu from far or near distance. Keeping track of whose reiatsu it was, was important to me.

"Kurosaki, Ichigo..." I grinned. The orange haired dude came out in a shinigami's (soul reaper) kimono.

"H-How do you know my name?" Ichigo stared at me. Its was awkward for a bit, but I managed to say, "You need to try harder to proceed on what I just did, Kurosaki." Then flash stepped someplace else.

Ichigo's Pov

What? How did she know? I don't even know her, but she knows me? I've got to go tell Urahara about this.

"Kurosaki... what brings you here so late at night." Urahara fake yawned. "Shut up and listen..." Urahara's face changed to serious. "Go on..."

"I was patrolling through town when I felt this strong reiatsu coming from the river... I went to go check if there was a hollow, but there was a gate with a seal on it that rose up from the river. Then there came out a girl about younger than me and she instantly sensed my reiatsu." I stopped and took a glance over at Urahara. The fool was dead asleep...

Atsuko's Pov

I guess my childhood pal is discussing with Urahara.. Urahara must be enjoying himself as always.

Sunrise...

Atsuko's Pov

When I awoke, there I lay in someone's bed. I looked around and sensed 3 reiatsu near...Kurosaki!

I can't believe I'm inside his house! I started to blush like crazy. "It looks like you're finally up... huh, Atsuko?" I recognize that voice, it was-

"Isshin?! Where's--"

"Don't say her name..." He was definitely building up tears now. A sweatdrop dropped off my face.

"Sorry... where's Ichigo? Oh... What about Karin and Yuzu?" Isshin looked at me like I was some dumb dog he found on the street. "Um... Atsuko, where have you been the past couple of years?" Isshin wouldn't stop staring at me, so I answered, "Old man... sealed me away when I first entered the soul society on my second day. My first day was fine until..." I stopped and peeked through a small crack in Ichigo's closet.

Isshin immediately shut it closed. I knew something was up. "Kiyomi-chan, why don't I go find you something to wear." He then dashed off... leaving me alone... with Kuchiki, Rukia.
