Chapter 2: Soul society...

Atsuko's Pov

I probably shouldnt have let him carry me, but who cares. Once you get to know the ONE and only stuck up Byakuya, he's a pretty nice man. "Kiyomi, wait one moment out here." He walked inside the meeting room while the gates shut closed after him. I sighed. When I was only 5 and I first came here, he was pretty old. Haha... I remember when I first came here...

Quick Memory of Byakuya and Atsuko meeting...

I should've never said that to Onii-chan and Jun-kun... I'll go and apologize. They'll forgive me I think- I sensed a very strong reiatsu coming from the east side of the hill. "Who's there?!" I demanded. There was a man with a weird kimono on. "You seem to be very talented... would you care to join the shinigami academy?" I shook my head a no. "I already know everything and already graduted." Back then... Byakuya seemed to have been impressed, so he toke me to the soul society even though I had a bad fever he had to carry me. Like what he did a while ago...

Back to Reality...

"Kiyomi... Captain commander and the other captains would like a word with you." Byakuya looked serious... no change in that guy, but I then walked inside the meeting room. So many stares and whispering... I guess I'm popular around here. I soon stopped and kneeled before Captain Yamamoto. "It's nice to see you're still alive and healthy Captain commander Yamamoto..." The geezer sighed. "Who is willing to talk first...?" No one came and stepped out. "Fine... we'll go from division to division until everyone's said something. Now starting with division 13 to 1."

Ukitake, Jushiro... Known as Division 13's Captain Ukitake. "Kiyomi, Atsuko... It would be a pleasure if you were to join my division. And also, welcome back." He gave me a nice smile and I smiled back. Then he stepped back in place with the other captains.

Kurotshuchi, Mayuri... Known as Division 12's Captain Kurotshuchi. "Haha... It's nice to finally get to see my little guinea pig alive... Come stop by sometime to be one of my test subjects/guinea pigs, ok?" I nodded nervously. Then he stepped back in he crowd.

Zaraki, Kenpachi... Known as Division 11's Captain Zaraki. "Tsk... seems you're not such a wimp anymore... I'll take you on anytime. Good luck, you're going to need it." I sighed and gave him a scared/nervous smile. He stepped back. Grinning at me wickedly.

Hitsugaya, Toshiro... Known as Division 10' Captain Hitsugaya. "Kiyomi... you've grown and matured, so it would be enjoyable for you to join in Division 10." Then he quickly stepped back hiding himself. He's still shy as ever... Haha.

Kyouraku, Shunsui... Known as Division 8's Captain Kyouraku. "My...My, you're all old now like me. Haha... Good to have you back." He gave me a nod. I thumbs up him. Such a nice man.

Komamura, Saijn... Known as Division 7's Captain Komamura. "I hope you'll stop calling me "Fuzzy" like a 5 year old. You must have matured." He sighed and stepped back. I chuckled. "Don't worry Captain Komamura. "

Kuchiki, Byakuya... Known as Division 6's Captain Kuchiki. "Good Job on surviving in the seal. Hope you enjoy this outside world for a while." He didn't even look up at me and I just shrugged.

Unohana, Retsu... Known as Division 4's Captain Unohana. "You've gotten more beautiful than you were younger. Welcome back." She grinned. I tried smiling back. Scary woman. Is she saying I was ugly back then?

Soi Fon... Known as Division 2's Captain Soi Fon. "Don't be causing any trouble like last time, alright?" She narrowed her eyes at me. I nodded. And finally...

Yamamoto, Genryusai... Known as Division 1's Captain Yamamoto and the Captain commander of the Soul society. "It's outsanding you're still calling me old, but I would like you to see me after the meeting is done." I bowed. "Sure thing."

After the meeting...

"You wanted to see me?" I asked. The old man sighed. "You'll be joining Division 13 since Shiba, Kaien died. You're the 2nd seat for Vice Captain Kiyomi for Division 13, ok?" I nodded. "Thanks for the info." Then I bowed and ran off to Division 13 barracks. I wondered who the Vice Captain was...

At Division 13's barracks...

I didn't see anyone around, so I just quietly walked in. It's unlocked... they seem to be carefree about this place. I gently closed the door and turned on the lights. Good... no one. Now I don't have to start any sort of weird/awkward conversations. I was looking around when I spotted someone sleep at a desk. Is it a girl ot a boy? I went to go check. "Rukia?!" She was startled and woke up. "Kiyomi-san? What are you doing here in Division 13?" I giggled.

"I'm 2nd seat for Vice Captain in Division 13... Yamamoto said so." Rukia sweat dropped. She lead me to a room where she gave me some paperwork to do and left me alone.

Seems like I'll be alone doing paperwork. I was starting on it when I saw Renji walked by. Hm... I'm going to finish this quickly.

20 minutes later...

Done! Okay, now to go check around Division 6. While I was walking to Division 6, I accidentally bumped into someone. "S-Sorry..." I looked up and saw Vice Captain Matsumoto. "Oh! Atsuko, come stop by sometime so I can hang around with someone who's fun!" I nodded. "Still shy huh... Kiyomi... Well, see ya around." Rangiku then trotted off.

Division 6 Barracks...

"Is anyone in here?" I knocked. No one answered so I opened the door. "I believe you should knock a little louder before coming inside." I jumped in fright and found myself hugging someone. BYAKUYA?! I quickly scooted back and he flicked the light switch on. He stuck out his hand and I grabbed it to get up. "Thank you... I was here to see if Renji was here."

Byakyua nodded. "He's here. Doing some paperwork. Why do you want to see him for?" I hesitated. "I..um... wanted to see if he was free to go and hang out with some of my friends... for lunch later." I have to admit everyone's changed hair style and their reiatsu all feels different. "Is it ok if I come along with Abarai?" I nodded. "Sure..."

Byakuya's Pov

After Kiyomi left... I went to go tell Renji to get out of the closet. "Renji, why were you hiding?" He laughed nervously. "Atsuko, was like a sister to me, but for some reason... I'm sort of nervous around her." I sighed. "Get back to your paperwork, Abarai." He nodded sulking off back to his office. Then I knew for some reason that he actually thought of Kiyomi more than a sister and a friend.

Atsuko's Pov

I was walking around barracks when I arrived at Division 10... I quietly knocked and Captain Hitsugaya opened it. "Oh... Kiyomi, what brings you here?" I admit it Captain Hitsugaya's new look is pretty adorable. "Hi... is Vice Captain Matsumoto here?" He shook his head a no. "She finished some of her paperwork and went out drinking." I sighed. "Thanks... I think I'll go..." I sulk back to my Division. For some reason I felt Captain Hitsugaya actually kind of attracting.

When I arrived at Division 13 Baracks, Kuchiki was gone, but at least Captain Ukitake was here. "Hello, Captain Ukitake." He smiled. "What you been up to?" I shrugged. "Looking for some friends to hang out with." He chuckled. "If you're looking for your Vice Captain friends there in the world of the Living." I bowed and thanked Captain Ukitake.

When I arrived to the world of the Living... I saw Karin practicing some soccer. She seems to be having fun. "Karin!" She glanced at me and smiled. "Atsuko-chan, you looking for some people?" I nodded. She pointed towards Urahara's shop and I bowed. "Thanks! And have fun Karin!" Then I ran off. Time to see my most dearest friends , Yoruichi and Kisuke...
