We live in a world of alabaster light and needles that fix everything.
A world where everyone wants to be king.
Our brains trained to nitpick imperfection.
A place where enemies can stab our backs and hurt our hearts, until we walk around callused and scarred like animals hunted into extinction.
Our troubles stack up effortlessly, filling our thoughts in library shelves.
Wandering around, lost within ourselves.
Issues no fire squad or soldiers could fix.
Threads of hatred and broken loyalty crowd our sights and live amongst our days.
Dreams trampled by realities sting, now forgotten and unlived against a sky of gray haze.
Our minds' polluted by words spoken through the mouths' of our friends.
Our hearts broken by our teachers, our leaders, our preachers, our men...
Wounds left untended, pain a Band-Aid can't fix.
Replaced by technology much smarter than ourselves.
We are all alone, even those not yet twelve.
Plague and poverty rule over the world, leaving children uncared for and people misgiven.
Yet we still live our lives, though our sins aren't forgiven.
Problems no God or deity could fix.
We are nothing more than a world entertained by our own pain.
A society left behind, walking on tightropes, and stuck with our shame.
Our troubles now blown out of proportion,
all because our pride lead us to never find a solution.
Foggy vision, rose-colored lenses can't fix.
If only we saw the world from above.
A birds-eye-view, looking down at the society that destroyed all our love.
Our troubles now ants, our world just a stain,
free from misgivings, left with no pain.
Now using that tightrope too our advantage,
looking back on the world we left damaged.
Like Alice in Wonderland tall as a tower,
an aerial view of our daily fight for power.
All the world shrunk into a dollhouse,
our family and friends now as small as a mouse.
No longer in need of society's fixings.
In the end we fix ourselves, and it's just the beginning.

PoezjaThis is a really random visual poem I had to do for school, and I figured why not share it! I will link the film part when it is uploaded :)
