"There's always two deaths. The real one, and the one people know about."

I can't tell you how it happened. Or when. I just know it happened. It was... Fast. All I remember is this color.

Blue?

I don't understand.

Where am I?

There's land. Land as far as the eye can see. Deep greens of the forest. Soft oranges of the rising sun.

Then there's that color. Blue. The ocean. It.. It seems so familiar.

My head hurts. The ringing in my ears. Why?

I think I can see a building.

It's a platform.

Walking hurts. My bones keep making weird sounds. Like... I haven't used them for years.

My eyes burn.

Where am I?

The wind feels nice. The flowers are pretty. This is like a dream.

Oh. The platform. I haven't walked an inch, but now I'm standing right next to it.

What? Things are changing. The flowers are wilting, the grass is dying. The sky seems so dull.

What happened?

The podiums. There's... Items on them, with little notes.

There's, what, eleven podiums?

The first has a golden crown, with little jewels, and looks very important.

The second has a sword, laced with intricate metal flowers.

The third is a box. A present box.

The fourth is a pendant. There seems to be two little hands on it, as if someone was shaking someone's hand.

The fifth is an instrument. A tiny Ukulele.

The sixth is a ring. It's gold.

The seventh is a loaf of bread, and three red apples.

The eighth is a staff. It's silver and... Blue. There's a lot of blue.

The ninth is a rolled up map.

The tenth is a dagger. A very ragged, nasty looking dagger. It reeks evil.

And lastly, there's the eleventh podium. But.. It's broken. In the ruins of the podium, there's a note, and a picture. A very worn picture. Of the land. Well, how it used to be. And three, very happy people together. It looks like they love each other very much.

I step off the platform, only to be pushed back by a little wind.

I look towards my feet, to now see that a tiny plaque says "You may pick an item. If the item accepts you, you may take it with you."

After little thought, I pick up the picture. The people in it seem familiar. The note simply says

"Walk into the ocean, until your head is under the water. Do not worry, you will not be soaked"

Strange. All that blue kinda... scares me.
