My little pony : high school edition

I woke up to the beeping sound radiating from my alarm clock .
"Mm just five more minutes....," I whined to myself pulling my purple covers over my head , and then shoving my face into my pillow .. To prevent the sunlight from reaching my tightly shut eyes .
It was no use ... It was too late , there was no way I could go back to sleep now.
Then I realized ...
"Today's the day !" I squealed  realizing today would be my first day at 'Canterlot Prep High School' .
This school would get me one step closer to 'Canterlot University; For The Gifted'.
I quickly jumped out of bed and stripped out of my pajamas.
I looked in my closet and grabbed the outfit I had put together the previous night , it was a white ruffled blouse with capped sleeves , and a purple silk vest , and finally a purple tartan skirt with white knee socks and black Mary Janes .
For the finishing touch I put a black headband on top of my neatly combed navy blue hair with streaks of pink and purple .
"Twily , come downstairs for breakfast !" I heard my brother shining armor yell to me from down stairs .
So I quickly made my bed and grabbed my purse and purple suitcase and duffle bag, and quickly waddled down the wooden steps and into the kitchen.
I inhale deeply and recognize the heavenly scent of my mothers homemade pancakes and bacon .
I set my stuff down and take my seat next to my older brother, who was leaving for Canterlot University today .
I look at him and smile as our mom serves us pancakes with bacon and takes her seat at the table.
"So twi , are you nervous for your first day ? " my brother shining armor asks .
I pick up a piece of bacon and chew on it thoughtfully before answering the question .
" A little - I suppose ," I answer trying not to sound to worried .
" don't be worried , it'll be wonderful .. Won't it dear ?" Mother says to my father who has his face buried in the Monday morning newspaper .
"Yes wonderful, " he says not looking up from his paper .
"It's fine I'm not worried," I say picking at my pancakes which were drenched with sticky maple syrup and butter .
After a while of eating , and chatting we were ready to leave .
I grabbed my bags , while dad helped shining with his and we piled into our red sedan .
It took us about an hour to arrive in Canterlot, but once we arrived shining and I could not keep our eyes off the streets .
The streets of Canterlot looked like they were out of a movie... They were bustling with busy townsfolk and the cobblestone streets were decorated with small businesses like coffee shops and cafes.
It didn't take long for us to get to Canterlot University where we walked shining to his dorm and helped him unpack , and then the time came for us to say goodbye.
I couldn't help but cry a little .. I was saying goodbye to my big brother Which was really hard for me , he was my best friend.
"Bye ... Big brother ," I said chocking on my tears as I hugged him tightly.
He rubbed my back and replied
"I'll miss you twily .. Don't forget to write okay?"
I released him from the hug and wiped my tears on my arm .
"I won't ," I say .
After a while of crying we walked our way back to our red sedan which was now populated with one less member .
Then as if on cue we arrived at Canterlot Prep , it took a while to convince my parents to stop crying and leave .
"Bye mom , " I laugh as I break away from her ever so tight hug .
They finally piled into their little red car and left .
I grabbed all three of my bags and went to the admissions office and got my room assignment.
My room was 'C 33 ' in the girls wing .
It seemed like it would be easy to find but ... It sure wasn't!
"Man , where is this room !" I say loud enough for the girl walking behind me to hear .
She ran in front of me and stopped me in my tracks .
" do ya need some help sugar cube ? " she asked with her country twang .
The girl had blonde hair , tan skin and freckles ... Lots .. And lots of freckles .
"Um - yes , would you happen to know where room ' C 33' is ?" I ask her staring into her green eyes .
I look away and notice her outfit, she was wearing a green checkered flannel and a blue jean skirt with apples embellished on the hip and cowboy boots ... And a beat up old hat .
"Yeah ah know exactly where that room is .. Ah stayed there freshman year  follow me,"  she said indicating for me to follow her .
She led me up one flight of stairs and into crowded hallway when finally she stopped at a dorm room .
" by the way , I'm AppleJack .. But you can call me AJ ," she held her hand out for me to shake , and I obliged.
She shook it so firmly and hard .. I thought my hand would just about pop off !
" I'm Twilight Sparkle, you can call me Twilight , " I say politely.
We stay silent for a moment until Apple Jack speaks up .
"Well ah gotta go .. It was nice meetin' ya Twilight, "
I nod and tell her that it was nice to meet her as well .
' she seemed friendly.' I think to myself as I dig my room key out of my small black bag .
After a minute I find the key and and enter my room to find a pink haired girl putting the finishing touches on her side of the room while singing the latest Sapphire Shores song .
"Hello -" I say barely audible .
'Do I have the wrong room ?' I think to myself.
" Omigosh!!!" The pink haired girl squeals loudly as she runs at me and pulls me into an overly tight hug .
"Um- can you uh - put me down ,"
I manage to choke out at the strange girl .
She obeys and sets me down .
"I'm sorry it's just .. IM SO EXCITED !"
The girl exclaimed.
'Man what is this girl on ? '
I hear myself think .
"Why are you so excited.. Haven't you seen another person before?"
She finds this extremely funny .
She rolls her eyes and almost doubled over in laughter she lets out a small snort and squeaks ..
"NO SILLY BILLY ... You're my new ROOMMATE!" She screams ecstatically.
I choke on air and yell ..
"ROOMMATE!?"
