"Everything feels right with you, though." He said as he enlaced his fingers in mine. I let him pull me close to him, but only for a moment.
"How many other girls did you say that too?" I asked, training my eyes on the floor. He clicked his tongue and shook his head.
"You always play the victim, Lace."
"I told you not to call me that." I set my jaw and looked away from him. He snorted and in one swift movement, pushed me into the wall with his hand on my neck.
"I'll call you what I want. You shut the hell up and do what I say, and you won't have any problems. You hear me?" I bit my tongue and forced the stinging in my eyes to go away. I nodded and he let his hold go. He moved in towards me until he had me pinned against the wall, breathing down my neck.
"I love you," he said kissing the crevice in my shoulder. I waited a few moments.
"Say it back." I waited.
"Say it back!" He slammed his fists into the wall and forced me to look at him.
"I love you." I said through clenched teeth. He smiled and kissed me briefly.
"I'll see you tomorrow, baby girl." And he walked out.
I looked out my window to make sure he was gone, and that nobody was home. I put my back against the wall and my knees gave out. I sank to the floor. Dilapidated, I let myself cry harder than I usually did. This had been going on for months, and had only gotten worse with time. I picked my phone up off of the floor where he-Drake- had thrown it earlier. I typed three little words into a newly composed message: I need you.
