Selena Gomez as Samantha Summers.

💎Jade's POV💎

(Edited)

•••

I found myself driving to Samantha Summers' house, my best friend. When her boyfriend cheated in her, I confronted him.

He was being a jackass about the whole thing because he was like:

"What do you know about mates? You don't even have one. Stop getting your nose into other's people's business. You're a spoiled little brat. Just because you're the Alpha Lebron's daughter, doesn't mean you have everyone wrapped around your finger-"

That was the last thing he ever said to me. Before I knew what I was doing, I decked him in the face, having the pleasure of hearing his nose crack and seeing the blood gush out his nose like a faucet.

Ever since then, whenever he saw me, he would cross to the other side of the street, or go in the opposite direction.

It got so bad that his parents sent him to finish high school somewhere else, and temperately live with his aunt.

The worst thing is, I don't regret a thing I did to him.

So you can kinda say I have a violence problem.

"Jade," Sammie says, bringing me back to reality.

"What?" I reply.

"You've been staring at the wall for ten minutes." She says laughing.

"What's so funny?" I say annoyed.

"Nothing, nothing ignore me." She says, now grinning. "I'm ashamed you told me you found your mate, but won't tell me who."

"Be glad I told you at least." I roll my eyes at her and check my phone. I had fifteen missed calls. I know you can guess who they were from.

Her.

"I already know you won't approve. But he's an Alpha."

Since I don't think I can handle being around my sneaky sister, I'll just spend the night at Sam's. I feel like keeping this secret from my parents is just like lying to them.

I sigh as I think about calling my sister, and making a negotiation.

Instead of doing that fantastic idea, I go and text my mother.

Me: Mom, can I stay over Sam's house?

Mom: Yeah, Dee will send your clothes over. I will be there with her in twenty minutes. Don't forget to call me over the weekend because your father and I will be out of town.

"Sam," I say getting up.

"What?" She says looking up from her paperback copy of Chasing Red, a book that I gave her for her birthday a few weeks ago.

"I'm gonna take a shower. Where's the extra towels and stuff?"

"The extra towels is on the rack in my bathroom. By the 'stuff' do you mean toothbrushes and washcloths? Or things like pads and tamp-"
