What Have I Done?

   It's been a month since you've spoke to Damon, and yet you still blame him for everything that had happened. You didn't want to face the fact that you went completely mad out of nowhere and it was all because of jealousy. Even though you're (or should I say was?) in a relationship with Stefan, you couldn't hide, nor fight the feelings that you have for Damon. Just the thought of what you did made you cringe and shake with fear. "What happened to that sweet, innocent, selfless girl from a year ago?" you thought. Suddenly, you snap back to reality when you hear a knock at the door. You open the door of the hotel room you had been staying in to find Damon standing there. "Wha.....What are you doing here?" you stutter. "I needed to see you......I had no idea where you ran off to, so I had to get Bonnie to use a locater spell. But before that, I spent weeks looking for you myself." Damon explains. You wanted to start yelling and cussing, but something wouldn't let you. You invite Damon into your hotel room and pour two glasses of bourbon. "y/n, I know you think what happened was my fault. Which I will admit......I shouldn't have made you jealous like that, but for the record, you were dating my brother,"  Damon says after a moment of dead silence. "You knew it would make me jealous regardless if I was with your brother or not! Me getting jealous wasn't even what caused me to get so angry and to go crazy like that.........what Stefan said to me when he noticed my jealousy was what made me so angry." You fire back. You pace back and forth across the room in frustration. " I killed half the town, Damon. I didn't even care that I murdered innocent people. If I could rip off their heads like that again........I wouldn't think twice about it." Tears stream down your cheeks as you sit down on the edge of the bed. Damon sits next to you and takes your hand in his. "That wasn't your fault, y/n. When us vampires get like super angry we tend to kill, and that's okay. Those people you killed don't compare to amount of people I've killed in my time of being a vampire." Damon says softly. you lift your head up to look him in the eye. "Am I becoming what you once were?" you ask with a trembling voice. "Of course not, y/n! I would never let it go that far. I will make sure that doesn't happen to you." Damon explains. As he stands up to leave, horror filled your head and you shake the terrifying image away. " Wait......will you stay with me, Damon? I need you here with me." He turns around in surprise. " Of course, y/n......anything for you." He says softly.  You suddenly wake up to find yourself in your hotel room all alone and realize you were dreaming. You get up to get a glass of water and you look out the window to see a few stoners sitting in the graveyard a little ways down the road from the hotel. Suddenly you find yourself hiding behind a large tombstone near where the stoners were sitting. You were so thirsty......and just needed a drink of fresh blood......that's all...just a drink. You attacked the closest person, but that just wasn't enough. You attacked another and another until they were all drained of there blood. As you felt yourself becoming stronger, you also became hungrier and hungrier. Next thing you know......Everyone in the town were dead. As you kneel in the middle of the road drinking from your last victim, you see a shadow make its way toward you. As you jerk your head up, you see that it was Damon. You push the limp, dead body aside and stand up. "y/n? Did you do all this?" Damon asks in shock. "Wha....what?" You say confused. Damon grabs your shoulders and looks you in the eye. "Look around, y/n! Everyone is dead! Every single person in town has their heads ripped clean off. What did you do?" Damon yells. "I......I didn't do this.......did I?" You ask as tears well up in your eyes. "It's okay, y/n. I'm here now. Everything is okay now." Damon says while hugging you.  You look down at the person you had just finished off. Tears stream down your cheeks. "I have become a ripper! What have I done?!"
