Under a Spell

"Bonnie Bennet, nice seeing you here." It's been ages since you had seen or spoken to Bonnie after she left town looking for some old ancestors for help. She turns around at the sound of your familiar voice, "y/n, oh my goodness. You...you're still here in Mystic Falls." You and Bonnie have been through a lot together. In fact, you and her were together at one point before everything started going south for the two of you. Everything was going good in your relationship, but there was too much going on in your mess of a life you now live. Bonnie is a witch and well, you're human. It can be fun dating a witch with the powers and everything, but sometimes things aren't so fun. "What are you doing here, bonnie?", you ask. "I found the help I needed so I came back; I couldn't just stay away forever.", she explained. You look at her with a grin. "Well I've spent the last two years hoping that you'd be back", you retort. When Bonnie left town, everything to seem to just start spiraling down for you. She never knew how you actually felt toward her, or how you had always wanted something more with her. "Why have you stayed here in town this long? You could have gotten out and found a new life; a better life.", Bonnie asks. You hesitate before telling her the truth. "I stayed in hopes you'd come back...I stayed waiting for you." Bonnie looks at you surprised. She couldn't have went all this time before thinking that you only spent all that time with her because you were friends. Friends don't look at each other the way you catch yourself looking at her. "Y/n... I don't understand. You could have been long gone away from this hell." You look at her with hurt in your eyes and say "Bonnie, I wanted to see you again....I wanted to be able to tell you how I've really felt about you all that time we spent together." Bonnie looks up at you in awe speechless for a moment. "How do you feel about me then, y/n?", she asks. Grabbing her hands, you look her in the eyes. "I love you, bonnie...I've loved you for as long as I can remember.", you begin. "I want a future with you and I want to grow old with you." , you say with tears in your eyes. Bonnie looks up at you smiling. "Why didn't you tell me before I left, y/n?", she asks. You pause and wipe a tear from your cheek. "I was afraid...afraid of losing you as a friend all together. We grew up together and I was always worried that I was only a friend in your eyes, but the truth is...I've always wanted to be more than friends...It's like I was under a spell from the moment we met." , you explain. "Y/n...I love you too.....I just didn't want you in the middle of all this mess. I missed you so much and I prayed that you'd find a way out of this town and would be working on a good life of your own." , Bonnie says. "What do you mean this mess? Bonnie, my best friend is a vampire and I almost dated a hybrid.", you retort. Bonnie smirks at you a little. "If being in the middle of this mess means I get to be with you....then I want that. I want to be part of this mess of life we have....I want that with you, Bonnie." , you say moving closer to her. "I don't want you getting hurt, y/n.", Bonnie says while squeezing your hand. "Bonnie....I wouldn't trade this crazy life for anything. I want to spend the rest of our crazy lives together and I mean that.", you say. Bonnie is silent for a moment before moving closer to where you are chest to chest. You lean in slowly as your lips touch. You jerk awake suddenly only to find you're lying in a locked cell. "hello? anyone down here?", you yell. A shadow steps around the corner illuminated by the moonlight through the small window in the cell. You fall back in horror realizing it's Klaus. "Where the hell am I?", you ask angrily. "Hello, mate. Having sweet dreams?", Klaus asks with a smirk. "Where the hell is Bonnie?" , you ask only getting angrier. Klaus walks to the bars of the cell smiling. "Bonnie is somewhere safe, mate. No need to worry. You on the other hand have a rude awakening, my friend.", Klaus says. "Why am I here? Let me go!", you plead. Klaus looks at you with a grin. "You killed one of my hybrids, so you're going to pay. That dream you just had was because of my witch I have on my side here.....she can get inside your head, and from the looks of it you're biggest weakness so far is dear Bonnie." ,Klaus says laughing. You run toward him, but suddenly fly back. A beautiful woman walks into the moonlight. "Hi, y/n." , the witch says. "Who are you?", you ask. The witch looks from Klaus to you smiling. "I'm the witch that cast this spell on you, love. Those dreams won't end there.....we are just beginning.", She says as she walks away leaving you lying in that cold cell floor. "Bonnie.", you whisper softly as you're drifting back to sleep.
