Chapter 7

((day of prom))
I proceeded through school as normal with Hunter and Lindsay in all my classes. Ugh. Schools over now and Courtnee is coming over with all her things. We got on our dresses and jewelry. She started off by curling my hair and then on to the makeup. It looked beautiful. I curled her hair and did Courtnee's makeup. I think I did good."It's amazing Alyssa!" I said thanks and I slipped on my converse. We headed out the door and I saw Ethan and Cameron get out of the car. Ethan looked hot. So did Cameron but he was Courtnee's date. I miss Hunter. I really do but he cheated on me. He grabbed my waist and pulled me close to him. I kissed him on the cheek and we got in the car. I sat in the front seat while Ethan drove. We got to school and we walked in. All eyes landed on Ethan and me. The first one I spotted was Hunter. He looked me up and down. I guess Lindsay saw him look at me and she kissed him on the lips. The theme was beautiful purple and silver(purple in honor of Caleb). We started dancing and I went over to go check out the food. I heard someone whine,"I want you back." I knew it was Hunter. Luckily, Ethan came over and kissed me on the cheek. He pulled me away and started dancing again. After 1 hour someone came on the stage and said into the microphone,"Now to announce this years prom king and queen!" Everyone yelled and screamed."Your prom queen is...LINDSAY SHWICKS!!!" I could care less honestly. Everyone cheered and screamed."And your prom king is...HUNTER ROWLAND!!!" The spotlight was on Hunter. Lindsay took the microphone and said,"Hunter baby come get your crown!!" He looked me straight in the eyes and said,"I'm going to go get my girl back!" He ran towards me and slammed his lips into mine. They moved perfectly in sync. I missed him, badly. Lindsay dropped the microphone and ran out of the gym crying. Hunter didn't go to get her. We ditched prom. We walked out with our arms slung around each other's shoulders. I got home, kissed Hunter goodbye, and ran up to my room. My mom was home. On my way to my room I said,"Hey mom how're you?" She replied with good and I made my way to my room. I threw my phone on my bed and as soon as I threw it I heard a buzz. It was a text for Ethan. I feel bad for ditching him but I got Hunter back. I unlocked my phone and read the text.

Hey I'm glad you're back with Hunter. Courtnee told me about you and Hunter. That's why I asked you. So I could get you and Hunter back together.😉

It was Saturday tomorrow. The weekend! Then, Hunter texted me.

I yelled to Hunter,"Goodnight loser!" He said,"Don't forget tomorrow! I have a surprise I haven't told you yet." My mom was going to work tomorrow. That was fine by me. I got into some sweatpants and a muscle tee. I jumped into bed. And as soon as I did I fell fast asleep. In the morning my mom was already gone and it was 10:15am. I got dressed in a cute outfit(picture). I said to Ashlyn and Emilie,"Hey I'll be back in a little bit! I'm going to Hunter's." I knocked on the door to Hunter's house. I guess his mom wasn't home. He said,"Dang why are you so hot?" I giggled and playfully punched him."Ouch babe!" He whined sarcastically."Hey I've been keeping something from you..." He started. Oh no."I do this thing that I broadcast to a bunch of people." I gave a sigh of relief. I said,"Maybe we can broadcast?" Hunter said yeah and right when he said that Ashton came up and hugged me."Hey Ashton! How are you?" He hugged me and Brandon came down the stairs.
