A/N: Yes, I know there isn't really evidence for this kind of circumstance, but I thought it would  be interesting. I hope you guys enjoy. (You can blame Google for the cute picture :3 It's from august-ocean on Deviant Art.)

It was over. We were free. I sighed happily, remembering how we watched the sunset together. I sat on the same cliff today, watching the sun rise. The wind blew back my hair gently. I'd missed this - the sun, the wind, the greenery, the fresh air, and more.

"hey, kid," Sans greeted me as he sat down next to me. I looked to him.

"What's up?" I asked.

"i... i don't know how to ask this, but... i can't handle not knowing," Sans sighed. I looked at him with concern. "when're you gonna reset, kid?" I stared at him in shock.

"Sans - " I stared, but I was interrupted.

"THE GREAT PAPYRUS IS HERE!" Papyrus announced himself. "HELLO, HUMAN. HELLO, SANS. WHAT'RE YOU TALKING ABOUT?"

"nothing important," Sans dismissed the conversation.

"HMM... YOU LOOK UPSET," Papyrus observed. Silence ensued. It wasn't place to interfere. Papyrus sat down next to me. "SO, HUMAN, WHAT'RE YOU DOING?" Papyrus asked.

"Watching the sun rise," I answered.

"it's beautiful," Sans commented.

"SANS, ARE YOU WORRIED?" Papyrus confronted him.

"nah, bro. you know me. nothing gets under my skin," Sans joked.

"SANS. I CAN SEE RIGHT THROUGH YOU," Papyrus stated. He wasn't even upset about the pun. In fact, he made one of his own!

"heh... heh... good one, bro," Sans chuckled halfheartedly.

I spoke up, "Tell him what's wrong, Sans. You shouldn't keep secrets." Sans glared at me.

"what do you know?" Sans challenged me.

"IT'S ALRIGHT," Papyrus sighed, "HE'S ALWAYS BEEN SECRETIVE. EVERYONE HAS THEIR SECRETS."

"Even you?" I asked.

Papyrus hesitated before responding, "OF COURSE. NO ONE MAY KNOW HOW I MAKE SUCH DELICIOUS SPAGHETTI!" However, I could tell that wasn't it.

"Papyrus... did you have something you wanted to say?" I questioned carefully.

"I WAS JUST CURIOUS... WHEN?" Papyrus answered vaguely.

"'When', what?" I echoed.

"WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO RESET?" Papyrus asked.

"what did you hear, paps?" Sans inquired slowly.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN?" Papyrus responded.

"Sans asked me the same question," I clarified.

"OH. YOU KNOW ABOUT THE TIMELINES, BROTHER?" Papyrus said.

"that's my line," Sans replied. "the data shows that -"

"DO YOU REMEMBER THE TIMELINES?" Papyrus interrupted.

"no, i just read the data, bro," Sans admitted.

"I remember," I spoke up. "And, I don't wanna reset. This is the best ending."

"GOOD," Papyrus said. "HONESTLY, HUMAN, I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO REMEMBERED."

"You were still nice to me, though, despite all the times I haven't been in control of my actions," I pointed out.

"YEAH! I KNEW YOU COULD BE NICE! I STILL BELIEVED IN YOU," Papyrus answered my unspoken question. The tears welled up in my eyes.

"Thank you for giving me a chance," I whispered as I threw my arms around Papyrus. After a moment, I pulled Sans into the hug. We sat like that for a long time.
