So excited to see Chris!
We just came back from Camping and the school will now give us medals for participation and responsibility.
"Alright class, we're now heading to the assembly." my tutor, Mr.Love says.
"C'mon guys, the coast is clear!" He says trying to be enthusiastic.
We all take our seats as I patiently, but excited at the same time.
"Hope you guys had a lovely weekend!" Mr.Wright says. "Moving on, I will pass to Mr.White. Mr.White then gets up as Mr.Wright passed him the microphone.
"I know a massive amount of people did join the an outdoor recreational activity, Camping! Thank you for those who contributed the activity. All your money is donated to charity, it's saving lives in Nepal, Syria and Uganda. You guys are really helping people out there, your donation, your handiness. Especially your creativity! Thank you for participating!" He says as everyone started to clap and cheer with pride.
"Let's get started, I will pass to Mr.Crank so he can give all who participated a medal." He then looks to Mr.Crank and Mr.Crank gets his microphone walking to the stage.
I straighten my posture excited, to hear my name and Chris's.
"Before I hand the medals out, I would like to say, I hope you had fun doing the activities. I know it's fun when you're with your partner and doing all sorts of puzzles and activities! Pretty sure it was incredible! Thank you!" He says and everyone claps.
"Starting with the bronze medals..." He says and he picked up medals while Mr.White held the cards reading every group who had a bronze, Everyone started to applaud , as silver was coming through.
"Now for silver." He says.
"Yasmine & Kelly, Harry & Zeinab, Justin & Edd, Rachel & Jesse, Fred & Freddy, Kayla & Shay, and Chris & Avy!" I smiled getting up and walking down the steps, gradually getting to the stage. Collecting my card and my badge. I look around waiting for Chris to come, and my smile dropped, slowly realising that he's absent.
He wasn't there the next day too... Or the next week...Or the next month...Or the next couple months...Or the next few years...
