As I texted Luke back, I went into my room to get my Macbook and I went to sit on my sofa. I set my phone and my bowl of pasta down on the coffee table as I started to search Zillow. I typed in the search bar Los Angeles, California and started scrolling through some houses for sale. As I was going through several options I finally decided to call and ask about one certain house I really liked.
I set my Macbook aside and call the agents number. "Hello, yes I'm calling about one of your houses that you have listed for sale." "Oh yes, what about it?" "Well I was wondering if this house was still up for grabs?" "Yes it is." "Ok good because I would like to purchase this house." "Ok I'll have to write your name down and get all my papers ready and I'll call the owners about it." "Oh but there's one thing I'm currently in Georgia." "Ok well I can still make arrangements and before no time the house is yours ma'am." "Ok so my name is Kailyn Brooks and my email is Kailyn.brooks@gmail.com, and you can also contact me at 352-005-483." "Thank you ma'am, it was nice talking to you and I'll get all the paperwork ready. "Ok thanks goodbye" I say as I hang up.
I call Luke and he answers on the 2 ring. "Hey babe, what's up?" He asks. "I just got off the phone with a real estate agent from California and I think I possibly might have a house down there, but I have to hear back from her." "Oh babe that's great, how big is it?" "It's big enough for just me." I laugh. "And it was what I could afford right now." I add. "Ok, well when you find out if the house is yours call me and I'll come over and help you pack." "Ok, thanks baby well I gotta go I'm getting sleepy" "ok goodnight beautiful"
*3 weeks later*
I woke up on the sofa and had no idea what had happened last night. I look around and see boxes and boxes piled up everywhere I grab my phone and check the time, 7:47 am. I throw the blankets off me and go make me a glass of water. I grab some pancake mix and start to make pancakes. After I finish making 3 medium sized pancakes, I head over to my sofa and I see a little sticky note next to my phone.
Hey babe, sorry I left before you could wake up but I had to go do some errands and I'll be back around 10 to help you finish packing. Xo
I set the note back down and began to eat my breakfast. After I finish eating, I go and take a quick shower. I get out and put some sweatpants and one of my old Greenday shirts on. As I was about to clean up the mess I made I hear a knock at my door. I look through the peak hole and see its Luke. As I open the door, Luke engulfs me in a hug and kisses me on the cheek. "So how about we finish packing?" "Ok, what shall we start packing next." I add. "Let's start in your bedroom and I'll last room to pack is your bathroom." He says.
*4 hours later*
"I'm exhausted and I could use a nap." I say. "Me too, glad we finished packing everything." "Thanks to your help, you made it fun" I reply back. "So when are the moving trucks getting here?" "Tomorrow afternoon around 4/5. And my flight leaves at 10" I add. "I'm gonna crash, I'm wore out" Luke says. "I'll get us pillows and blankets." "Ok" he replies.
